Didn't band camp start this past Monday? They've got a lot of work to do if they want to give the Marching Storm any kind of challenge in LA.

I better make sure we get tickets beside the band, because with those numbers they won't be heard across the field in LA Coliseum.

I didn't recognize it before but you still have numbers for the sax, flut, and clarinet sections.

It's probably about the same size as last year. The sound is what matters. Even though they were small in number, they still had that big sound. Let's hear what they sound like before we start judging.

Yesterday was the first day of band camp and some students havent returned from the summer jobs. I have faith in the Directors of the band to put a quality product on the field no matter what size the band happens to be this year. Remember the old saying..." Its not the size ..... its what you do with it".

I don't think anyone is questioning what they'll sound like. The concern was volume (number of members). Which may contribute to volume of the sound. :-)

Southern University, until recently, usually put 128 members on the field for their show and typically had the biggest sound of any HBCU band out there. Dont be fooled by the numbers game. Its the heart of the bandmens that determines the voulume of the sound. The Machine will be ready.
