I think Eaves and Co. should be willing to get at least one tech a game from the home fans, just as a trade-off for having the best crowd in college basketball.
We need to find any opportunity we can to play "Ho Sit Down." It drives the Dawg Pound completely bonkers. I have never in my life seen anything like it.

BTW: If the band wants more playing time at home games they need to start better utlizing the playing time they already get.
That easy-listening version of the ESPN theme song that they played was horrible. And "smoking on hay" is really getting tired now.
The crowd reacted more last night off the Crime Mob, Lil Scrappy and Walk it out songs. I especially like when the Sigma do their step routine off of Walk it Out.
Screw the pep band. Give the people what they want.

Yeah, That's truly Aggie Pride. But, "Let's not forget....The Pep Band is also a soul provider"

The pep band needs to step their game up. If not, I say we just play Ho Sit Down after every timeout.

I think Keith controls all the music and gives a signal to the band director when he can start playing.

I think Keith should literally play it by ear. If the pep sucks like they did last night, we need more Ho Sit Down and Lil Scrappy.

Good job AMM... uhmmm.... not to change the subject but Blue Reign has come witit here lately!!!! I have to give them their props!!!! But they do need to dance in between timeouts on the court also....
We need to showcase everybody... Blue Reign... Cheerleaders... the drumline.... step teams... etc...etc...

WELL GUYS.. !! Your nostalgic wishes have been granted..!!!! The band will get all the play time they want for the last two games. I called Aaron this morning!!! See.... the voice of the people can and will be heard..!!! PS. Uhh Krazykev, posted and was speculating that theres some "beef" i think they called it, between me and the band. Please dont speak on stuff like that.. Especially when there are NO facts to back that up. .. Thats how drama gets started.( and we have enough of that around here) FOR THE RECORD...Aaron and I and the rest of the band directors including Dr. Ruff.. get along extremely well. Thanks. Keep that good mix going!

Screw the pep band. Give the people what they want. BT, You know that's not the answer. I'm actually surprised to hear you say that. The real answer is to challenge the pep band to step up their game, treat basketball season as a new season. With fresh music(not football season re-runs) and routines that keep it as KRUNK as everything else. If they're challenged, they'll meet the challenge.

Maxell, if you've been to any game this season you'll notice that the DJ songs get a better response from the fans than the pep band.
I would give the pep band a chance to play four or five times a game, but I will still let Keith have the authority to play a DJ song if he thinks the situation calls for it.
In my opinion, there's been a pretty good balance thus far.

I agree with your assessment of the crowd response. That's why the band has to step it up. Challenge the band to step up rather than throwing them out with the bath water. They are students, too. For example, if one of tracks were arranged by the band director it could be played live. So just when the crowd thought a track would play, surprise them with a live version to spice it up. Don't assume that the only thing the band can do is the SOS. Challenge them do something fresh and not accept re-tread stuff.

There 's nothing wrong with what the pep band plays as long as they leave out the John Phillip Sousas Marches.....Yea they need to step it up but it's some old beats they could bring back from the past also..... why don't we play "Talking Out The Side Of Your Neck" any more.... that was a crowd favorite.... some old Jackson Five.... I mean there are tons of stuff you could do... old & new..... They're at the game they need to play and with AMM mixing things in when the bands not playing..... well could make for a beautiful combination!!!
If you go to a non hbcu game you would begin to appreciate our pep band.... because then you wish that they never stop the house music... but they do and you mostly listen to Lawrence Welk music....
