I believe Sweeney punched it in during the overtime. The kid had over 40 carries. I hope they dont wear him out. He finished with close to 200 yards if not over that.

What yall think of this Blue Death Fam...
Aggies Win 40-33 in Double Overtime Thriller
After making personnel changes during the week, many questions surrounded the Aggies as the traveled to FedEx Field to take on the Bears of Morgan State in the PG Classic.
Those questions were answered and then some as the Aggies raced out to a 25-0 lead over a Morgan State team that had spoiled homecoming the year before and making many members of Aggie Nation to say “Ken Who?” referring to Offensive Coordinator Ken Schoolfield, who was relieved of his duties earlier in the week...
thats just my intro

Actually it wasnt double overtime. Just overtime. And I love my Aggies like the next man. But there are still several questions that exists for this team. I hope over time they will continue to address them through their level of play and more importantly through the onfield decisions that our coaching staff makes. Good win though. Lets try to keep it going against a VERY tough Delaware State team.

This is a game we should have won. Morgan has one of the worst defenses in all of I-AA so we have to keep things in perspective. Still it sounds like there were some positives things out there today.

I sat through the rain and enjoyed the game. The offense looked good and efficient especially in the first quarter. We did the same sequence on our first possession as last week against tcu - halfback option pass for 63 yds down to the 3, then a naked bootleg by Rico for the score. The defense forced a fumble and intercepted a pass, both of which led to touchdowns by the offense. The score at the end of the first quarter was 25-0. 4 TDs, 1of4 pats. Our defense went anemic in the second quarter. That and a successfull onside kick by msu was deflating. In the second half, after allowing msu to tie it up at 25, the offense did an excellent job on an 80 yd meticulous drive using a combination of Sweeney runs and safe passes. the play calling on that series was excellent. That drive was caped with a Sweeney td run. On the pat, the snap was high, forcing the holder (B. Trusty) out of his kneel, so he darted it in up the middle giving us a 33-25 lead. After the defense forced a 3 and out, Rico hit Trusty with a pretty deep sidline pass placed high and outside. Trusty went up and came down with it inside the 10. That drive ended with a missed chipshot by the kicker. By the way, Trusty also had a beautifull 83+ yd punt return for a TD in the 1st quarter.
We went first on offense in the OT, and stuck with our bread and butter - Sweeney off tackle, Sweeney up the middle, Sweeney off the option pitch - TD, pat good. MSU had two penalties, and we sacked the qb once. They wound up on 4th down from the 49. no success, game over.
Even though our defense was lacking - middle of the field wide open to passing all night long, great penetration but pitifull attempted arm tackling, a couple of drive extending neutral zone penalties, and a 72 yd touchdown run from scrimage on a simple dive play, the kickiing game was the reason we wound up in ot. 2 for 6 in pats, a missed 33 yd field goal, and a missed > 30 yarder. We scored 5, count'em, 5 offensive tds and one on special teams. There is no reason this game should have wound up in ot.
Sweeney was the game mvp with 205 rushing yards and 4 touchdwons on 42 carries. He looked fresh the whole game, even through ot.
