Thats a common strategy when playing teams that you are physically better than. Play them straight up as long as you are winning. 2nd half comes.... buss em in the mouth with traps, double teams, point zones, and presses.......BLOWOUT. Works every time.

It's obvious we need an inside threat. When teams start to shut us down from the outside, we need to be able to go inside. That will then reopen the outside game.

We definitely need to get more balance from our inside game and I think we have the talent to achieve a better inside presence. The bigger and more fundamental issue from the games I saw is the casual approach on offense especially in passing the ball (to many unforced errors) and the lack of intensity on defense. We play with an arrogance, that isn’t supported by execution at both ends.

I remember the intensity on defense when the team was barely winning games; now that we have talent we don't have the defense we once did. And I don't think we will get by in conference play; that can be seen with the first conference lost this season. However as long as Eaves can recruit and keep talent; he's the man for the job.

He's gotta be able to use it too. That being said, I think he's the man for the job.
It seems that his teams need one guy to carry them. What was that one cat's name from Louisville that failed out?
Did he finish school, by the way?

Our pace is too frenetic(sp) and it's leading to a lot of poor decisions.
Instead of run and shoot, we need to migrate to what Arkansas and Kentucky did. They eventually became a Run and Execute type offense. Mizzou showed a little of that in the 2nd half.
Big men have to become mean and hungry on the boards. Morgan State and Hampton are too good around the hoop.
Glad to see that our basketball teams don't play scared and that they go out expecting to win.

I didn't think about that until you mentioned it. I will also add, A&T only had one good shooter last year and that was Rush (you are not a good shooter if you have never been consistent in my opinion). This year, Rush is having a horrible start and most of us already knew it was going to be a tougher year for Rush with all of the double teaming he will have to face. Rush only relief would be if one of his teammates will get hot every game.
