I agree with that statement. But I don't think its impossible that you can't get a diverse array of experience even if you work at an A&T.
I think those are just restrictions we often put on ourselves .. because of a lack of knowledge.

And really, I not so much talking about coaching in this situation. I'm talking more along the line of working inside an athletic department.

I think those are just restrictions we often put on ourselves .. because of a lack of knowledge. That's happenning right now. Thats why you go to seminars and get into programs and such. That's what it's all about. When you're at an hbcu and you have 20 things to do as opposed to your counterpart at a pwc who has 1 or 2 things to do, it makes you more knowledgeable in the long run...

Perhaps the allure of American was that homegirl would no longer have to do 20 things. She could concentrate on one or two.

The only limits we have in growth potential are the constraints we place on ourself.

All those slogans and crap are all good.. but Dooms said it right.. the prospect of not having to do twenty things, not sharing the office with 5 other people, not having to deal with not being paid.. hmmm thats pretty alluring.. Im going to go with Dooms assessment... And as for the knowledge comment.. 4X hit it on the head.. doing 20 things around any place will certainly expand your base of knowledge..especially when it comes dealing with nonsense...

Antfan, you sound like a disgruntled employee.
Please don't go postal one day and shoot up all your co-workers.
At least give Wheeler, Brian, Dee and Keith the heads up to call in sick beforehand..

Roundtree just left Ala for Clemson...movers usually get greater raises than people that stay. Every move from NCAT does not have to be because something was wrong at NCAT. ...DOES IT??

Roundtree left A&T to Alabama to Central FL to Clemson. Central Florda head coach under whom Roundtree coached resigned or was fired last year. People change jobs for purely personal reasons also.

a great statement if i ever read one.... with the sports we have here ready to turn the corner... one draw back i see are the people who are holding them back.... wether the reason is financial or having to wait for football to catch up... these programs are being held back...
if you want respect out there... make those programs that are ready to turn the corner a priority so they will be able to kick butt and take names....
respect is not always given... sometimes you got to take it........
