Add to that has over a 3.0 gpa, stays off the police blotter and leads the first hbcu in history to the sweet 16.

The other recruit I'm starting to like more and more is Ed Jones. This kid has only gone up against the best of the best since high school. He played against the Oak Hills, Mt Zions, Larinburg Prep and Saint Mary's in high school and as a juco played in a conference that's really a disguised development league for major D-I schools. The MEAC is gonna feel like a step down to him. I have to give Eaves a solid B+ for this class.

This is a good recruit we picked up. I thought Eaves would have to wait several years before he would sign another quality player out of Kentucky. Eaves played the waiting game for this recruit and it paid off. Signing period ends next Wednesday (5/16). Can we find another scholarship and steal another one?

Got him. Ed Jones is capable of playing the 2 spot. At 6-7 he hit 25 three pointers last season.

We consistantly here recruits mention how nice A&T campus is. Maybe our campus is not as bad to some visitors as it is to a lot of people that post on BDV!!!!

The jury is still out on Eaves Are you talkin' bout the OJ Simpson jury or the Robert Blake jury??? There is nothing to prove here. You either think Eaves is a good coach or you hate him.

Got him. Ed Jones is capable of playing the 2 spot. At 6-7 he hit 25 three pointers last season. Really, do you think this guy can create his own shot starting 18'-20' from the basket? Twenty-five 3's in 31 games ain't many (@ 25%). At best, he's a catch & shoot player. I think it would be a mistake to play him at the 2 spot. Of the three (imo) Jones has the smallest upside. He's as good as he's gonna get. But I'm hoping he’s good enough to replace the production of both Booth and Roberts, a 13 and 8 kinda player. Though this recruiting class is a significant improvement to the talent level, we still have a need for a two-guard.

FYI! I heard that Dewon Morrison (6'4" guard) that was put off the team in 2005 for getting busted for pot has transferred to Fayetteville State to play ball.
