Rivals listed him as 6' 8"....hope the bricks are right...but based on the listing of Robert Johnson and Gregg as 6' 7" last season, when both were 6-4 maybe 6-5 you never know..but he does not look like a banger

He's standing next to a bunch of guys who are 5'7. Incorrigible. His vision is clouded by that handsome young fella napping in that baby seat. Measure his head. It is at least 7 inches from the chin to top of the head. If he is as good as Eaves projects, maybe he will grow another inch or two. Hopefully , Johnson will add another inch to his frame (his brother is 6'7). Historically, Eaves has not been great at assessing talent. He has brought in players on scholarship and end up playing walk-ons while they (scholarship players) sit on the bench. The juco player appears to be a decent player. Hopefully, the Florida kid turns out to be a player too. He could also use a good swingman 6'5 to 6'6 with a mid-range jump shot and the ability to put the ball on the floor and take it to the rim and finish.

We lost 3 seniors, so I don't understand why 1 more scholarship is not available. Eaves should be allowed to continue to upgrade the talent level of the team. If we have some projects that are not working out, they have to be let go at some point. We have to get better across the board. With all the positive pub we got this past season there are probably several potential recruits we can pick from.

Where are you going to find this 6'5" or 6'6" shooting guard? If they are good most will be snapped up by better programs and the rest will be picked up by agressive recruiters.
This men's Aggie team is already full of 6'5" and 6'6" guys who can't consistently shoot the 15 footer.
The Aggies have two guys who are 6'9" that can't give you more than 5 minutes a game and the rest of the team is 6'6" and below.
Eaves needs a another 'baller' to take some of the opponent's defensive pressure off of Rush and a big man who can defend and rebound. Hampton U just signed a playground player similiar to a Dennis Rodman and Scottie Pipen during their college years. The guy only played two years of organized basketball in junior college but he is a 'baller' out of Brooklyn, NY.
One thing I strongly disagree with Eaves about in the press release is that if you have an scoring average of 10 points while starting in that mid-west junior college league that it almost equates to 20 points a game in the MEAC. The average you have in junior college is about how much you are going score in the MEAC until the player improves his game. Eaves statement might have been true two years ago but it is not so, today. The league has improved in talent, strength, size and quality of coaching.
Rush dramatic increase in scoring was due to increase playing time and playing in a system that accented his ability. We also cannot diminished the work Rush put in to improve himself during the year he sat out.

If Hampton, Del State and othe schools can find them, then surely A&T can do the same. We all know the team is loaded with 6-5 and under players, but only one (Wills) exhibited some ability to shoot a mid-range jumper and finish at the rim. He's a forward playing a little post also. Rebounding is crucial for A&T to be successful, and a big swingman who can shoot, put the ball on the floor and rebound would be a big plus for Eaves' program. He has wasted too many opportunities (scholarships)on players that are not very productive.

Doughty played at Riverdale Baptist this past season after transferring from Largo. The 6-foot-8 forward⁄center said he made the move to gain exposure. Doughty averaged 12.6 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots for the Crusaders this past season. Doughty said he has drawn interest from North Carolina A&T and Marist, but is leaning toward North Carolina A&T. If he opts for North Carolina A&T, he would be doing battle against Morgan at least twice a season in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. www.gazette.net/stories/040507/uppespo195803_32324.shtmlAlso in the article:Morgan rose to prominence this season, averaging 28 points and 8.8 rebounds. He recently signed with Hampton University where he will be joining Laurel High’s Chris Tolson and Milade Charles. Hampton coach Kevin Nickelberry is a graduate of Central High.

In the picture of Doughty jumping center, isn't the guy in the stands wearing an white A&T shirt with gold lettering?
Eaves has signed a 6-7 juco and 6-8 incoming freshman, so is he about to sign Doughty or has Doughty dropped off Eaves' list?
I don't know what kind of competition Doughty played against in his senior year of high school but I like his stats a lot better than the Orlando signee, Cam Shepard.
