He seems to be a pretty good rebounder with a decent inside scoring presence from reading his stat sheet and from the game reports from their site.

the excitement in corbett has brought bball to new heights of late.... all of you & the student body have helped open doors in recruiting that were closed at one time.... from what i can gather there were a lot of kids wanting to come to "T".....
ESPNU are wanting to put us on tv more than 3 times next season.... that is a great recruiting tool... when you can tell a kid we'll be on national tv x amount times a yr.!!!!

Thursday, April 12, 2007 N.C. A&T adds two frontcourt players;
Print Email this Article By Rob Daniels Staff Writer
Coming off its best season this decade, the N.C. A&T basketball program added to its frontcourt with two signees on Wednesday. UNCG added one player, a guard.
Ed Jones, a 6-foot-7 forward from Butler County Community College in Kansas, and Cam Shepherd, a 6-8 center from Osceola, Fla., will team with an established guard rotation at A&T as the Aggies seek to continue a reconstruction process that made them 15-16 overall and 10-8 in the MEAC in 2006-07.
Coach Jerry Eaves said he has been following Jones since the player's days at Notre Dame Academy in Middleburg, Va. Jones averaged 9.7 points and 3.4 rebounds a game for Butler, which competes in a rigorous junior-college league in Kansas and Oklahoma.
"He's a more athletic Greg Roberts," Eaves said, referring to the A&T forward who averaged 7.7 points as a senior this past season.
Shepherd picked A&T over MEAC champion Florida A&M, among others, after averaging 12.5 points and 8.5 rebounds a game for Osceola High School.
"I think I stole a sleeper," Eaves said. "Runs the floor. Great hands. Can catch it and dunk it. Defensively, he can play at the front of the press."

Now we need to pick up a creator/slasher and a point guard. We got to have someone that can get us a bucket when our offense is not flowing.

That slasher is already here... his name is Tavarous Alston.... He can create off the dribble.. and definately push the ball up the floor.

Ok recruits but not what I'd call difference makers.

True and I'm not trying to say they won't contribute but we need to start landing recruits of the same talent level as Hampton, Morgan St and DSU. Those three schools have really stepped up their recruiting.
