That's our first win of the season when shooting under 44%. I think Thrilla attributes this win to just plain good coaching.

How did we win? Shot: FG-.390, 3pt- .316, FT- .692 Rush- 9pts Defense, defense, defense and attacking the goal that resulted in free throws and furstration for the Pirates. Ewing hit threes in the first half that keep the offense going and Chaplain played really tough defense. It was a total team effort. Jason Wills continue to make his defenders foul him especially the Pirates in the second half. Ewing and Nelson hit key free throws. In the beginning of the second half, I believe A&T shot the ball 10 straight times without scoring before Hampton got the ball. Hampton started hitting threes in the second half and this kept the game close for them but A&T got the lead after 73-73 with two minutes to go. A&T scored the next six points to win the game but Hampton hit a three pointer at the game-ending-buzzer. Those last three points that Hampton scored gave Hampton the tie-breaker and maybe 5th place over the Aggies should the Aggies lose Wednesday and Hampton wins.

That last 3 by Hampton means we have to beat DSU to avoid a play-in game. No way Hampton will lose to UMES. I don't think FAMU or Morgan will lose 2 straight games.

Hawkeye,
What will happen if we lose and Norfolk and Hampton win. It will be a four way tie with all teams 10-8.

I think right now the Aggies are the second smartest team in the conference following Del State. I also give BCC a close third.
Warning: if Hampton gets a point guard next year and this year's freshmen become smarter basketball players, look out because they will be odds-on favorite in the conference for the next three years.
