Don Corbett didn't have youtube clips or ESPN poll results to back up his claim, though. Right now everyone in the nation recgonizes how hype Corbett is. Not just HBCU fans. I can see Eaves in somebody's household now asking a kid if he saw us on youtube.....

It doesn't matter who he starts. The problem is not with the rotation, the size, the offense, or the rebounding. This team as configured requires two of three things to win (in order of importance); 1) shoot at least 45%, 2) create significantly more turnovers than we commit, 3) create an up tempo game. When this team doesn’t shoot well they are generally still in the game, when this team gets out rebounded they are still in the game. I agree that don’t need a “big man” to win (a low post presence). The game has changed mightily since the big centers did the bump and grind the middle. But if you don’t have a low post presence you better have something. What we have are perimeter shooters. The problem with this team is we have one scorer. And who the hell knows if he’s on or off and when he’s off, there no one else on. Point well taken....

I agree with Aggie One... Eaves has to at least take a stab at a big man. Small ball CAN work at the MEAC level, but only if everyone on the floor is a scoring threat, and if we are trying to play that type of game, we are starting the wrong five. If VA State can find THIS guy... www.nbadraft.net/admincp/profiles/aviswyatt.html (Projected NBA Draft Pick)... don't tell me that you can't find a serviceable big man at a Division ONE basketball school! I'm not asking for a superstar... Hell, he don't even have to score or have a post game as long as he can rebound and block shots.

The Dawg Pound has done more to help this program that Eaves has. Thrilla, c'mon off that b.s. That's absurd... Why are Thrilla's panties in such a knot?

Because you clowns tricked me into believing that A&T had a decent team this year. I had to actually come out to the Dawg Pound myself to see what was really going on.

Aggie One, our size is comparable to everyone in the league except Del State. The teams we have been losing to lately have had the same sized front court that we've had. Disagree, The three games I saw FAMU, NSU and Hampton all had "Bigger Bodies" than we did. Don't go by the roster, look at the players. We beat all of them and they all have athletic bigs. This basketball team baffles me.

Eaves just need to carry his portable DVD player and show the recruit what our atmoshere is like in the gym.

Ironically, I just emailed Eaves last week and told him I graduated from the same high school that the kid from VSU graduated. As a matter a fact, I mentioned Wyatt in the email (as well as Moses Malone and Mark West, as well as Jerome Mathis). I told him I knew the AD there as well and it is only 2 hours away from Gboro and we typically have some good talent coming out of there.
In his defense, Wyatt was about 6'-8" or 6'-9"tops in high school as a senior but weighed about 160 lbs. He has grown and filled out since he went to Va State.

This is a decent team, not the best team in the MEAC, but a team that is competitive on any court in the MEAC. And I for one am glad you had a chance to come out to the DAWG POUND, because your days are numbered buddy!!

Big kids take time to develop. Porter and Webester may be players ( helpful) by the time they are 5th year seniors...There have been 6-5 guys that could not play , may as well have some 6-9 types ..........

it's not as much height as position...it seems like our bigs are all three's...no power, everything finesse...there are some 6-5 post players out there...guys who know how to bang...that's what we need .......some 6-5, 6-6, 6-7 bangers ! ! ! !

That's what wrong with the college game as a whole these days. Aren't many "Bangers" out there any more. Everyone wants to fly to the hole or shoot the 3. You can tell a kid to hit the weight room and work on fundamentals until your blue in the face and he will still be out on the perimeter shooting 3s on his days off. I would say it was a problem for A&T if everyone else didn't have the same issue.

I'll tell you what. If Eaves can get two legit juco bangers with an inside presence to go with all them guards that are seniors we make the ncaa's next year without much difficulty.
