Well I predict that we lose to Bethune Cookman and FAMU serious I see us finishing sixth which is great for the MEAC tournament since we will play in the opening round and get people in the seats

When you score 75 points in this conference you should win 9 out of 10 times. A&T two biggest weaknesses is defending inside around the goal and not having a point guard. #3 - Free Throw Shooting # 3 (for Howard) & Free Throw Shooting. We out rebounded Howard (that may be the first time this year), Howard shot a lower percentage from the line, had more turnovers, but they shot better from field and 3pt line. The problem doesn't seem to the low post defense, but perimeter defense and weakside rebounding. #3, Mitchell had 21 of Howard's 37 points in the 1st half and the other guard may have had 6.

What about that Coppin game, A77? Wasn't the free throw shooting equally as horrendous - even though we squeaked out the win.
Yeah, #3 was lighting it up last night. Dude was on fire.

The same goes for the 11th seed. The other seeds, 7, 8, 9, 10, will play two days then get a day break if they win and then play Friday and Saturday. You really want to be in the top five.

'Jazz This is a decent team, not a championship team. I’ve seen them play four times (2-2) now. In each outing they had problems defending the perimeter and rebounding. They are not going to a championship game by letting one dude have career day on us and getting outrebound. How many times this year has one dude had a big night from the guard position?

You are right '77. I was looking at the Aggies with hope and not with my excellent basketball mind ;D. What I thought about the Aggies at the beginning of the season seems to be true now. Their success threw me off. I forgot to take into account that the MEAC coaches would see the weaknesses on A&T's team and make adjustments especially after the first run through the conference. Coach Eaves is going to have to make some adjustments, too, if he can.

Ewing didn't play last night. Hernandez may be the best perimeter defender. Glenn is aggressive but he is too slow of foot. We are really small up front (basically 6-5 across the front line). Johnson shows some promise at the point for the future. It's a shame he's playing without three players that he expected to be on the roster.
The team still has a chance to finish .500 which was my thought going into January. If they do finish with 15 wins, it would equal the number of wins from the last 3 years combined.
They will also lose only one player from the top eight. The big guys (what happened to the 2nd kid?) were projects to begin with but in three years not much progress there. If he is able to expand recruiting, he'll find a decent big.

Our best defense is the full court press. Once a team gets across the half court mark, our defense falters. I'm willing to be if Steve Rush was to get open like #3 Skip Mitchell was for Howard, he would drop 32 easily on somebody.

Get these next four at home which will put us at 10-5, then get either 1 or 2 out of the three road games left to finish the regular season. 12-6 or 11-7 should get us in the top four. Especially with the way everyone is beating up on each other...

Exactly my sentiments. We must hold court at home. We have the advantage of home court. I don't believe anyone or should I say most on campus thought that Eaves would have the 2 players back for the season. Too many people knew the performance or should I say non-perfromance of the two. I doubt (seriously doubt) that athletics and Eaves expected them back. That fiasco of an article in the paper is a surprisingly unexplainable mystery. Naw, I am not surprised. We do dumb things all the time.
Chad Webster had surgery on his foot. Very nice fellow. The sad thing is no one has taught him how to play with his back to the basket. I forgot, we don't play and inside out game. We are a perimeter team or fast break if possible. We press and get TOs, but we have about as many TOs as we create against the other team. Give up too many 3s by not defending the perimeter well.
Hopefully, we win enough games to avoid the play-in.
