The board didn't give him an A. The board's GPA is a 2.4/4.0 based on the votes.

I gave him a D but upgraded that to a C after that last 3-game road trip. I still don't think he really knows what he's doing.

i gave coach an "A".... extra credit for all the BS you have to put up with around here!!! TRUTH...I agree! We weren't suppose to have much of anything this year but we were quite respectable. With a couple of 6'10" or maybe a 7 footer to shore up the middle, we should be a team to be reckoned with come next winter. Eaves, YOU DA MAN!! And for the ladies, what can I say. You definitely will be the team to beat... the top of the conference next year. AGGIE ATHLETICS are now rising from the ashes... the future looks great. I think, we all will be surprised at what Fobbs puts on the field this September. To all the MEAC teams and Aggie naysayers, it's pay back time for all the sand kicked in our faces last year.

Coach.... congratulations to you & your staff for providing us with an enjoyable successful season!!! i know you guys are working hard looking for the players to take us to the top!!! lets see how serious our ad is about capitalizing on your success.... if bball budget is cut again to give to football..... ughhhhhhhhh!!! but lets hope our ad has finally seen the light & will use common sense.... and stop listening to people who wants to fire a coach because they don't like the coach..... it's time to get ahead of the game & quit spinning wheels!!!
the meac bball has really improved this yr.!! i expect it to keep getting stronger & stronger!! will the "commish" realize this and focus his attention on building the tournament around great teams!!!

Final Grade = C+. Kudos to coach Eaves for his moderate success. However, after fours years, one would have expected a great deal of improvement. The result was moderate improvement. Last year (third year) should have been the year for the somewhat successful type of year A&T had this year. FAMU leaped/jump all over top of us. For those of you who do not believe that an inside game and size (talented size) is not important, take a look at the ncaa teams ---- the Winthrops and other mid-level teams ---- as well as the teams we will face in the MEAC with another year of experience under their belts.

I give him a B+ due to the fact that he lost his two big guns(Booker & Goins) and the recent history of Aggie Basketball(ala Kurt Hunter).

How can use lose what you never had He (Eaves), atheletics personnel and the school knew that they were never coming back. The only people expecting them to play were fans who had no clue about their situation. The schools biggest gaff was releasing that idiot statement to the newspaper about the return of players that they knew had no chance of playing. So, let's stop talking about Booker and Guions as saviors for the program. Booker was gone almost 2 years. How often did anybody see Guions play and make a major major contribution? He may have had the potential, but we never saw it blossom. So we can only speculate about what kind of player we think that he might have been. So we have to stop using them as an excuse or crutch for not being a great team. Many programs are left in rubbles and rebound quicker than four years. I look at how Eaves has recruited and his philosophy (style of play and utilization of players) about the game.

Maxell, I moved him from a C to a C+. He's going to be with us for awhile, and I'm hoping that he will do some serious recruiting. Hopefully, some true 6-6 and moderately talented 6-8 or 6-9 players . He admitted on the show with Billy a couple of weeks ago the true size of his guards (Rush & Ewing 5-9 to 5-10) and most of his frontline/wingmen as 6-3 to 6-5. He lauded their hustle and desire to win. We all did that, but now he has got to bring in some size with a hint of talent. He has said before that he is not necessarily looking for size, but for ball players. I submit that he is going to need both in order to be successful. He has got to replace Roberts, who was a valuable defensive player ( at times thought of himself as a point guard and a pretty fair scorer at times (free throws 50/50).

(If you are talking about the article that appeared in the paper at the end of the first semester)

Telling Rob Daniels that they will be back and releasing an official statement is basically the same exact thing. The bottom line is that the word got out to the fans that they were coming back in Dec. and expectations were raised.
