4XL, that's a ridicilous statement and mindset. If we can beat SMU on the road then we should at least be able to hold serve in the Dawg Pound and put away teams were are clearly more talented than.
If you don't think we are better on paper than BCC and Hampton, then I just don't know what to say to you.

Born,
I agree with your assessment of Coach Eaves but we are not better on paper than Hampton. I think Hampton is very talented but young.
I think we match up well against FAMU and Norfolk which could go well in the tourney. for a second round matchup

Sure, we beat SMU and we have played other teams close. And we should be able to hold serve at home, not cover some ridiculous point spread. The name of the game is win. After you read the score the next day, nobody gives a damn about the score. While we may be better on paper than BCC and Hampton (maybe?), thats why you play the game. Let's just say we respect each other's differences and leave it at that. This is still a decent team, a top five team.

A&T Fans, what can I say? We get too high when we win and too low when we lose. We either anoint our coaches as the second coming when they win or come after them with a rope and torches in hand when they lose.
"Like sand in an hour glass, these are the days of our lives."

I would give him a D. He can go on the road and beat SMU Then he should beat BCC at home period. The coach set the standards for the program he is the coach.

I give coach an "A" for the mere fact of how hard the kids play..... Bonethrilla post " this team is a reflection of it's head coach".... and you are absolutely right.... for the most part this team plays hard each time out!! When I look at the losses we have and check the scores I see that this team competes.... and that's something that hasen't been at A&T in a long..... long.....loo..nnn...ggg....time!!!
I enjoy watching this team play..... yea it's hard when we don't come ready to play mentally or when our shots aren't falling. But all in all I think the coaches have created a style of play that lets future recruits know what to expect and most of all.... what will be expected of them!!
Thrilla we are a reflection of our coach..... and thank God for that!!!

Well, Eaves is gearing up for his final exam, the MEAC Tournament. We gave him our mid season grade now lets see what grade Eaves gets at the end of next week.

Iwill now change my Incomplete to a B+ regardless of what happens in the tourney. A first round bye is just as good as a victory to me. If he makes it to the semis he gets an A!

(Eaves needed to win the last 3 out of 4 before I would have given him a B grade.)
I gave him a C grade but He won his last four out of six..... and helped earn a 3 seed plus a bye in the first round....... He gets a B from me, If we win the MEAC A+!!!!!! Aggie Pride!!!!!

eaves & his staff has done a great job with this team!! we have gotten some valuable play out of porter & gregg the last couple of games. I mean all you want from porter at this stage is someone to crash the off. & def. glass & set screens relentlessly.... with his big body he can do that if he puts his mind to it!!! I'll put it another way.... if I were on this team coming off the bench... it would be hard to keep me off the floor because I'd be playing like kurt rambus.... doing the little things but the necessary things to win....

an "A".... plus you have to work with a boss who wants you fired and one who really helped your program out by giving you a $12,000 recruiting budget!!!

I understand the board happiness to be in the tournament with a reasonable chance to win a game. However, the overall record is 14-16 or about 46.6%. That is an A? Are the grades based on the improvement from last year. Thus, would 14-16 be an A next year? What NCA&T now has is hope for better basketball fortunes...but seasons like the one you just had got other coaches fired...Do not get me wrong, I think Eaves should be retained, I just want to understand what it takes to make an A.....46.6%...Damn!!!! of course a tournament championship is like a comprehensive exam and would be the only grade that counted
