I've got give him a solid D right now.
This is the crunch time of the season and he has lost three out of his last four games and two in a row in the Dawg Pound against teams he should have beaten handildy.
Dude is not getting the job done.

This team has dug itself into a hole heading toward the MEAC tournament. The MEAC badly needs A&T to advance to Friday's semifinals to even have a shot at a successful tournament. Right now we're on pace to finish as the #7 seed which would put us in Tuesdays first round games vs. #10 seed. At this point BCC looks to be the likely #10 seed!
It will be tough for me to consider this season a success if we don't advance past the 1st round of the MEAC tourney.

I still think that with the way everyone is beating up on each other that we still have a chance to get into the top five. The window of opportunity does get smaller with each loss. Get these next three at home, steal two of three on the road and we will be fine.11-7 gets you in the top five.

He gets a C because he has lost the last 3 out of 4 games. Eaves needed to win the last 3 out of 4 before I would have given him a B grade.

Lets not forget that the team wasn't supposed to do anything this year. We were picked to finish in the bottom half of the conference. Coach Eaves has gotten this team to perform higher than expected all year. Just because the team isn't performing like we would expect; after our expectations have changed from the beginning of the year, that doesn't mean Coach Eaves is doing any less of a job than he was two weeks ago when we loved him.I admit there have been miscues, but lets all have some perspective. Overall I give the coach a strong C.

What year should A&T expect to win??? In 2008, 2009 or 2010??? How many years should coach Eaves be given to toil and sweat before extricating A&T from the depths of mediocrity. He has been at it for four years now. Longer than even most MEAC schools allow. Even with this team, the "laws of average" would mean that they should win more games than in the past.
Someone mentioned that A&T lost to BCC because of their deliberate style of play. Does that mean that every team we play can beat us by using the same tactic?? We will soon run out of excuses for losing. Oh, and don't use the infamous word "squandered" when describing the state of affairs of this team. It would be considered passe, instead of apropos by some.

This team is a reflection of its head coach. He doesn't seem to start getting animated on the sidelines and getting after the officials until midway through the second half. Up until then, its like he's trying to impersonate Phil Jackson on the bench.
Likewise, his team plays very lax until the last few minutes, acting as if they have all the time in the world to pull things together.
I just don't see a sense of urgency with Eaves or this team. I think they were all spoiled by having such low expectations the first few years.

I am dissapointed that we lost to BCC, too. You have to grit out wins in games like the one last night against inferior teams. I will wait to see how this team get out of its slump.
All said, I am giving Eaves a B- because I am giving Eaves postitive credit for very close games that ended up as losses. If those close losses would have been wins instead of losses you all would have been givng Eaves an A or A+. I expect next year's team will win a majority of those games that were close losses this year.

But you're missing the point, those close losses shouldn't have even been close. We should have beaten Hampton and BCC on our home court by about 15 points each.

Many teams go through what A&T is going through at some point during the season. This down period (slump) is not unique to us. Lets see how they pull themselves up and get back to the way they were playing before this slump. Im just as frustrated as everyone else!!! All is not lost.

Yeah, which direction is this bandwagon going this week I don't if I should be on it or off it. This is a decent team not a championship team. Say what you will about Coach Eaves philosophy, but he has done what no coach since Corbett has done and that build the program. Sure one or two coaches won the MEAC championship, but the net result wasn't a better program. The Corbett era was four coaches ago.
