Thanks Gator.
I noticed Jim Renick's name was very conspicuously absent from that article as if he never existed. What's up with that?

Yeah. It definitely beats the character assasinations.

I don't think so. I think Hackley and Fort are (at least at the time of the article) still on campus so they're pretty easy for him to work with. Why would he work with Renick when Renick no longer works for A&T? There was no reason to mention Renick in that blurb. Now as for not mentioning him in the article at all, as Gator said, diplomacy. They ain't had isht good to say about him in over a year.

It's hard for me to think that Battle has not talk to Renick at some point. They know each other very well.

I wouldn't expect for Renick to sit down and help with the budget, but I would assume he would help/work with him on knowing the lay of the land. Who the movers and shakers are in the UNC System, relationships in Greensboro... To not mention him at all seems as if his time here has been erased.

...or his name was erased...
...by somebody.
In reading the quoted part and the words around it you can see the quote most likely wasn't taken at the same time. It obviously has a few pieces carved out of it. So it's hard to tell what the context was and what was stated. I can see what the context became.

Fort is a Professor in the graduate program (Curriculum & Instructions). He loves A&T. Why would you mention or talk about someone whose name was unceremoniously stripped from a building under construction on your campus???

I think we may be making a bit much of nothing.

Agree. However, what happened was to be expected.

Battle Hackley Renick Fort That looks like the order to me. Is this like Bobby Ewing in Dallas? Did 1999 -2006 not exist? Was it a big dream?

Renick was not even invited. Renick is Chancellor Emeritus and so is Fort. He should have at least been invited and given the option of attending or not. I thought it was tradition for all living Chancellor Emeritus' to be invited to these type events. Maybe I am wrong about this, I don't know!!

For all we know, Renick may have been invited. Nonetheless, using Renick to know who are the "mover and shakers" in UNC-GA, wouldn't be the best idea. Renick's relationship with Bowles was not the best, and as Bowles begins changing up GA, it wouldn't work.
Oh yea....Chancellor Battle needs to work on his Aggie Pride. It sounded like he had a hernia and someone hit it.
