When Dr. Fort took over in I think 1980 A&T was really a mess. It was to the point that the state was ready to come in here and take over all operations. He got us moving in the right direction and things have not gotten that bad since. But I guess you are right jazz those little things can easily turn into a potential mess if not delt with.

Exactly what mess are we in? I keep hearing people say that A&T is falling apart. Is it because students are not graduating in 4 years or is it because students are not getting their financial packages on time? I say again, what is going on that has people saying that A&T is a mess?  ? Its not a mess, but we have issues that do need to be cleaned up. It does stem from situations, such our retention and graduation rates, financial procedures not being followed... UNC-General Admin should give us 2 years to get ourselves in order. |

The Financial Aid Office finally got their new system working and mailed the incoming students their financial packages about two weeks ago.  |

I guess they felt they better get it together are they would end up on the front page of the News and Record.
