Why does it take so long to go from one leader to the next at HBCUs? We have Interim Presidents, Interim ADs, Interim Department Chairs. Our old chancellor announces his resignation and nearly a year and a half later his replacement will take office. Something's wrong with that. There are departments that seem to have always had an interim chair. How can someone be interim for two years?
