A&T to partner with Air Force Research Lab North Carolina A&T State University will sign a formal educational partnership agreement with the United States Air Force Research Laboratory Materials and Manufacturing Directorate Friday morning. Under the agreement, A&T and the AFRL will work together on research opportunities of mutual interest. The Materials and Manufacturing Directorate develops materials, processes and advanced manufacturing technologies for aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, rockets and ground-based systems. A&T students and faculty will have the opportunity to work on projects in conjunction with the AFRL, and students will receive academic credit for their research. A&T chancellor James Renick said he's excited about the possibilities the agreement allows. "Partnerships such as this one... allow our students and faculty to engage in cutting-edge research with global implications," Renick said.
