Division II in athletics. Lobby the state to increase out-of-state enrollment allowance to 33%. Create a school of remedial studies for in-state students that don't meet certain entrance requirements and for all students that are placed on academic probation. Cap enrollment at 7500 and encourage on-campus living for as many students as possible. Make public speech, advanced writing, and logic required courses for all students. Send all grades to parent or guardian, regardless of student's age. Encourage students to get involved in politics and banking. Two things that make the world go round.
I wouldn't cut anybody or add anybody. I'd let people cut themselves or make themselves necessary.
Great topic by the way!

- D-2. Nay (In our current state of things I'd rather a really low D-1 struggling to get out of the red than a really low D-2 breaking even) - Lobbying for out-of state. Thumbs up - Remedial studies. Thumbs up - Cap enrollment. Nah (MO MONEY! MO MONEY!) - Good PR. Yes - Send Grades. They do for all traditional students, I mean if you're 35 Nana getting your B's and C's means nothing. But I've lived off campus for going on 3 years and they send grades to me AND my moms but most time it's posted online for the student and mailed home for moms. - Politics & Banking. Very big fan of this real estate is the key man, don't let Dwight Mann by up your hood then flip it for triple, YOU by your hood and flip it for your people.

So... when I become Chancellor.
but... for a week...that'll be hard to any of these things.
-Designate us as the: "Honors College of the UNC System", increase the min GPA and SAT scores to 2.3 and min. 1000 on the SAT. Emphasize, Academic Excellence from day one... -Create the pipeline to college by a joint Charter School with the School of Education and Guilford County Public Schools. (i.e., University Lab School) -Develop an School of Public Policy and Government (expanding the Political Science Department, offer degrees in Public Policy, Admin, Criminal Justice up to the Ph.D.) , expand the Journalism Department (School of Journalism and Media Studies), split the College of Arts and Sciences into the College of Liberal Arts and College of Sciences, offering graduate degrees in all disciplines. -Expand our Graduate Programs to reach the status of "Very High Research Activity" Yes, we need a graduate program in Journalism, Political Science/Public Administration, Accountancy, Nursing/Public Health -Expand the campus to Murrow Blvd, build a mixed-use development between Murrow Blvd and Dudley Street to include a hotel, shopping, condos/apartments and academic offices. -Expand the pipeline of teachers into the public school system. -Build additional food places, change food service companies -Expand the Public Relations staff -Expand the Legal Affairs Office -Raise parking fees to encourage walking and environmentally sound decisions on campus and in the community -Stay D-I...expand our fund raising, lower ticket costs for football.

I love this topic. - I think the Idea of the Research school on campus is great famu has one that won the Fla. 1-a state fball champ this past fall. We have a all male high school on campus, Bennett has the sister school, from what I've heard they don't get the most love partly because GCS sends non-violent black youth to these schools. - Don't cap enrollment just raise admission standards or take each child on a case by case basis. NO MORE INSTANT ACCEPTANCE. They sent recruiters to all the high school in Greensboro at least, and accepted just by looking at the applications. - Don't try to reinvent the wheel make it easier to transfer credits at UNCG, GTCC, WSSU, and the 5 other private schools in Greensboro and High Point. I think we need to focus on what we do well. Its impossible to be all things to all people. Pool resources work together. For example, A&T does engineering GTCC has programs that direct kids to jobs with Honda Jet as soon as they complete course work in Greensboro, experience working toward a professional degree everybody wins. Just in case anybody wanted to see the school on campus... NC A&T Middle College schoolcenter.gcsnc.com/education/school/school.php?sectionid=7032This website sucks but this coming school year I will be the new career dev. coord. (finding job shadow opportunities, helping teachers, setting up tutoring, getting guest speakers, and fixing this website)
