For me, it would have to be Craig Mack's "Flava in your ear". This was back when the strip still went through Laurel Street and I remember you couldn't go 10 minutes with hearing that song blasting out of someone's car. BTW: This was the song that put Diddy on the map.

The Spinners OMG! YOU ARE ALMOST OLD ENOUGH TO BE MY GRANDPA.... For me, I say freshmen year (2004) it was that Young Jeezy - Trap or Die mixtape I mean you literally heard every car on campus with it...Boys and Girls! I aint never seen a mixtape get played so much to where I knew all the words to every song before I even got the album myself.... This year its that Rick Ross - Port of Miami The song HUSTLIN' was crazy, it was the number one album in the country. All the songs are bangin' AND I got to interview Rick Ross in September right when his album went to #1

for me it was probably anything out of New Orleans. They were pretty much running things from the time i stepped on campus - Master P with Bout it Bout i, to the song that even old white ladies quote now - B.G. and the rest of Cash money w / Bling Bling. The south started running things when I was in school

The Boomin' System by LL. The bands all played Everybody Everybody by, who was that by? Black Box or C and C Music Factory or somebody.

Mike, is that you standing next to Ross? If so, you could be his stunt double.
BTW: That Boomin System still goes hard. Certified timeless classic.

For real though, Flava in Your Ear changed the game. That was non-stop. That came out right when I re-enrolled after sitting out. JUST LIKE UNIBLAAAAAB!!!
A-1's list is all classics. It would've been great to actually be on campus during that time period. Scott Hall must've been full of music.
Eric B. is Prez had my high school jumping. Imagine being in Moore Gym and that coming on!
Jeezy had the skreets on fire!!!! Being from the A (well, the Rock) I'm all about that Jeezy. I can't feel that Rick Ross though.
P was hot and Cash Money just took it to the next level.

Wasn't Uni-blab a character on the Jetsons? Is that what Mac was saying in that opening line?

single: My Girl - Temptations
That song turned out Moore's gym during the basketball games. The whole student body would sing. (no pep band )

Dooms, Aggie One is right on point with his list....and you're right, Scott Hall used to be flooded with music back then. EWF, The Commodores, Ohio Players, Parliament-Funkadelic, Wild Cherry, Mother's Finest, The Emotions, Deniece Williams and Slave! The list goes on and on! Those were the days!

Marvin Gaye - "On the Floor" That song was long as H@ll! but it made for a sweaty time at The Cosmos. They would always have to slow it down right after, so your partner was a stategic choice. ;D
