I can't even remember the last hip hop CD I actually paid money for.
No, let me think. I bought a couple of screw CDs from my old barber shop before I left Houston. But that was bootleg.
I can't see anybody out now who I would spend 15 dollars on.

I think it was Common's "Like Water for Chocolate"
No, I'm certain it was. The last CD I bought was the best of Cameo on ebay for fifty cents plus shipping.

Cee-Lo Green is the Soul Machine
By far one of the most slept on hip-hop/R&B artists of all time. The CD is worth buying for "All Day Love Affair" alone.

I'm ole school. I wouldn't drop a dime on a hip-hop CD.

Hey A1, you groove strikes me as liking WAR (Slippin into Darkness, City Country City) or Crusaders (Keep That Same Old Feeling, Soul Shadows). Am I in the ballpark?

I actually bought a original issue of Midnight Marauders by A Tribe Called Quest last week.
Other than that:
1. The Grind Date - De La Soul
2. Connected - Foreign Exchange (featuring my h.s. classmate, Phonte Coleman)
3. The Roots - The Tipping Point

How is that new De la joint?

BTW: I'm not really feeling that new Common joint. It is way too short. He needs to add an extra verse to about half the songs on the CD.

Sorry, I'm an exlusive smooth R&B and jazz listener although I do like some of Nellie's stuff.
