My company has a new product its debuting at the end of the month. Its kinda hard to explain, so I'll just include the URL. The reason I'm posting here is because I want to send every one of these we make to A&T since me and my partner are both aggie alumni. I dont want to be sending them "blindly" and they get thrown in the trash, so does anyone know any of the recruiters I can contact to let them know they will be coming? The website wont be finished until the launch date of Aug 1th, so dont dawg it to bad right now. It has been a lot of changes made and just not uploaded. Let me know what you guys think. I wanted to get this to you guys earlier but had to wait until it was patent pending. www.p3cd.comscreenshot www.p3cd.com/images/thumbnail.jpg

Looks like great product! I would try to get it in front of every high school coach in the America. Focus on HIGH SCHOOL COACHES, not college coaches, not necessarily the parents themselves.
Both the athlete and the parents listen to their coach's advice. Seek out coaching clinics, conferences and get links on coaching websites. IMO, if you make high school coaches your target market your business will flourish. They will get the info to the parents. Parents trust them. Think BIG. Think California, Texas, Florida, and Ohio.
The keepsake angle becomes a secondary market to the parents. Also diversify the images on the site to broaden the market.
Initially, focus on FOOTBALL. Become an expert on making football product , then diversify in a year or two. Focus all of your energy and resources on making the football product great even if you have to turn down doing some other sport. Starting out doing all sports will dilute your focus and resources, even if it looks like extra money in the short term. America love experts.
All of this is obviously just my opinion, but I like the product.
Good luck. Maxell

Conceptually, this is a great idea and I would think there would be a huge market for the product. How does P3 secure the data rights and verify accuracy of all the data used to populate each player’s portfolio?

Thanks for the input fellas. Maxwell, Coaches are good for "co-signing" the product, but they cant get to involved because of restrictions. Everything else you mentioned is dead on. Already in the works
Aggie77, The data comes from the coach of the player(things like 40 times, bench press, 20yard shuttle). We have a disclaimer stating that we do not verify the info. We just take what they give us and put it together. The academics are actually attached as PDFs, so they are looking at reall transcripts and SAT score copies.
The still image doesn't even do the product justice. It's better than we ever expected it to be. It allows college recruits to have EVERYTHING they need. A copy of a athletes grades, SAT, and game footage is broken down by series. If the player is a linebacker you get the 8-10 series of defense that a player might have all seperated and the player highlighted so he is easy to see.
You can see how it would give A&T an edge if we were doing hundreds a year and they got one of each. Thats why I need a coaches contact info. NCCU and a couple of other coaches have already contacted us about sending them to them. We based in Durham, so they helped with info about what needed to be on it.

So is this something that the coaches would purchase. Or the High student would pay for this product so College Recruit can look at there Portfolio?
Who create the PDFs file and convert the Video to MPeg or whatever format your plug in supports.
Contact Ragsdale
336-334-7655 ask for Coach Ragsdale he would be glad to talk to you.

Thanks for the number. I'll contact him before our launch date of Aug 11th, so he will know what they are when they start coming.
Trues, We convert the video and the PDFs. The highschoolers parents pay for the CD to be created. We make 10 and give them back to the parents and they send them off to the Universities. The only time a highschool would pay is if they wanted to get one done for all their seniors or something like that.
I'm willing to offer everyone we do to A&T because me and my partner are alumni. You know how many trips(dollars) they could save if I send them enough each year. Not only would they get entire portfolios of potential recruits, but game film on several kids that might not be on their radar.
We hope to do so many that we can start charging Universities to see our yearly database of P3s. If you know I got hundreds of recruits in my database(grades and all) how much would you be willing to pay?

Joey Sulkowski is the recruiting coordinator. He can be reached at the same number that Trues provided.

The Aggie Monster,
Man thats a great Ideal. Did you and your partner develop and write the code yourself?
Also you don't think the parents would have a problem you giving A&T a copy of there son portfolio?

Thanks trues, Yeah, I wrote the code and came up with the idea. My partner is there because I cant sell and create them at the same time. They take some time to create, so once we get rolling I wont be able to do the PR stuff.
As far as the parents knowing about the A&T deal, I will let them know before sending it. Cant see why anyone would object to a look from a scout though. It is no cost or burden to them and it would be 1 less disc they have to send out themselves.
Thanks for all the input fellas, we will see how it works out soon. We probably wont even know until highschool football is about to end. That will be a busy time for us if parents really buy into it. Keep us in mind if you know some kids that need to get their name out there. Its hard for a good athlete on a 2-8 team to get recruited and that where we help out.

This is going to make a lot of D-1AA and D-II coaches and their ADs very happy when looking at travel budgets for recruiting.
