Curtis had a couple of nice tackles and almost had an interception on a deep pass tonight. I'm not sure it was enough to earn a roster spot.

He probably should make it given his special teams experience however crazier things have happened. Hopefully his former Giants Coach will look out for him since he's coaching secondary for the Panthers now.

He almost made it www.panthers.com/Common/Article.aspx?id=23840Panthers sign pair of defensive backs The Panthers have signed safety Marquand Manuel (right) and cornerback Dante Wesley. Manuel started 16 games for Green Bay in 2006 and produced a career-high 103 tackles and one interception, while Wesley played in 13 games for Chicago last year and registered 13 special teams tackles. In corresponding moves, Carolina waived cornerback Curtis Deloatch and wide receiver Chris Horn.

I don't think he can go on the practice squad. His only hope is to be picked up by someone else.

Guess who's back? www.charlotte.com/panthers/story/267442.htmlPanthers bolster secondary again Cornerback Deloatch added to rosterSTAN OLSON Staff Writer The Carolina Panthers have bolstered their secondary as their season opener approaches in St. Louis Sunday, adding cornerback Curtis Deloatch to the roster. Running back Alex Haynes was released to make room for Deloatch. Panthers coaches felt Deloatch had a good training camp, but he was squeezed out when the team's roster was reduced to 53. On the injury front, safety Nate Salley, still trying to recover from a sprained knee, did not practice today and is listed as out for Sunday's game. Cornerback Chris Gamble (ankle) and defensive end Stanley McClover (groin) both practiced but are listed as questionable. Long snapper Jason Kyle (back) practiced and is probable.

Curtis just got re-signed by the Panthers today after reserve cornerback Dante Wesley was placed on IR with a cracked collarbone.
