Aw, doesn't bother me. They're just mad cause they haven't been able to beat us in a few years and their program has crumbled to isht faster than ours did.
In reality they like us. Outside of Georgia Southern who else is gonna fill up their stadium and kick their a$$ in it?

Point well taken. You're right Dooms. It's probably very frustrating for them since they're not the lead dog around these parts so their view hasn't changed any in four years.

Outside of Georgia Southern who else is gonna fill up their stadium and kick their a$$ in it? There have been plenty other teams that filled our stadium and kicked our butts. ;D GSU actually does NOT travel well to Elon. Appy and A&T usually do, Gardner Webb did a few years ago, other than that it's just usually the 5-6,000 elon fans there. Yes you might be the lead dog in I-AA football in the "Triad," but that again will change this year.

I don't know why but for me this game has always lacked excitement. There wasn't really any buzz in the air about playing Elon. If this is indeed the last game we play against one another then.............GOOD!!!

Actually 102 Jamz and Fox 8 hyped up the game the first couple of years, but maybe the reason being is because we weren't supposed to win and kicked the crap out of you. Now the tide has turned, the last 4 years, and no one seems to care. I really don't care about playing you guys in any sport anymore. I will tell you that I will not travel to your house again.....and after being verbally assualted with racial slurs in Aggie Stadium, then seeing that it gets looked over from the fans on this board, I think it's fair to say your program doesn't deserve ANY of my money.

Elonpride1, First of all nothing's being looked over regarding someone calling you a name. You said it happened three years ago, three years ago and you're still holding on to it. At the time it happened, folks on the board were sympathetic. Look, if I bailed out everytime we were called a name I wouldn't go anywhere or do anything. Did 15,000 people "verbally assault" you, or just a few knuckleheads?
We've got a new AD and a new coach who are committed to making our program better quickly and all areas. It's a pity, but race in a fact of life in America and but some people just hope it will go away and it won't.
And as far as you caring about playing us, it's not your call anyway. It's up to our presidents and ADs. God bless you, we'll be just fine.

Yup, you're right I am holding on to it. Who wouldn't still talk and remember that? You're right, it wasn't all the fans at the game.....it was about 10 folks, with just about half of that section laughing and not putting a stop to it, while we were walking by as the game was ending. So yup, when I see something like "Opie" posted on your board about one of our players, I am going to bring it up.

Elonpride1, Ignorance and rude behavior comes in all shapes and sizes, skin colors and alma maters. Not only will I personally apologize for any insults you and your family may have received at Aggie Stadium 3 years ago, but I'll welcome you to come tailgaite and sit with some official BDF members at the A&T/ Elon game this year.
I'm sure you'll find that we are a classy, knowledgable, and hospitable bunch

We discussed this incident on the old board when it happened. He got harassed by some visitors during University Day. But for, University Day the stadium would've been practically empty.
We cannot guarantee that every person at an A&T game will be sensitive and act with good sense. Especially not on a day like University Day when there are little controls placed on which kids are in attendance.
We can guarantee that if you bring it to the attention of a stadium official it will be dealt with accordingly. You did not. Tough. It's inappropriate for you to continue to associate your negative experience with our institution. You don't know if these were students, faculty or alumni. You can't even point to our institutional response as lacking because you did not take the logical step and complain.
Get over it.

I second that Bornthrilla, lets stomp out the ignorance. This is about Aggie Pride, and I am not proud of nor tolerant of racial slurs - of any kind - the only "colors" this board is about is Blue and Gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My reference to "Opie" was an analogy to the fact that Hamilton seems hell bent on playing his son at quarterback over Hudgins despite the fact he's a better athlete and Elon has Wes Pope who IMO was a better QB to start with, not unlike the devotion Andy Griffith always showed for his son Opie in the old TV series because he's going to back him no matter what.
If it was taken in the wrong manner by some Elon fans, then sorry. Race was never an issue in my comment.
I go all the way back to the early 60's when I was the only black kid in an entire elementary school of 550 students when integration first appeared in Guilford County. I wish I had a dime for every time a Caucasian kid or teacher had called me a n***** during that ordeal. Never retaliated once because I knew what was up and wasn't going to be baited into that mess.
Get over it already.

Hell, I grew up getting spit at three times a week on the way to school. Saw my first burning cross when I was eight. And this was in the 80s. Instead of blaming white folks or the whole town I grew up in I just chalked it up to the ignorance of the few that were involved, as you should do Mr. Elon guy. And I was eight, not a college freaking graduate!
Can't we all just get alonnnnnng?
