No he wasn't hurt. Amato was in love with Andre (Put the ball on the Ground) Brown and basically used Baker only when he needed a real running game, in the red zone, or a first down.

(DJ, one of our homeboys who lives in Greensboro has said the same thing. He has seen both players play several times and he said that talent-wise that they were about the same. Was Baker hurt this year. He didn't play as much at NC State this season as last year, I heard?)
We need to steal this kid, He needs to be the first one we sign. Next we need to find some linemen who want to block. This could be big if we can sign him and some linemen offense and defense.

Is there anybody on the Shrine Bowl team that is not being recruted by Big schools. We can also hit the JuCo's for linemen too.

I got a little more of an expert opinion today from someone I trust about football. He said Warley is not a Tony Baker. He said Warley had a very good offensive line and he doesn't have the speed that D-IA colleges are looking for in a runningback. He says it is hard to say if Warley can be a better runningback than Ferguson. He said Warley does seem to run inside better while Ferguson seems to be a better outside runner. He also said if anything A&T may need to take a harder look at Thomasville's offensive lineman.
One thing that is hard to measure is heart.

I still like Warley, but even I'd agree that we need T-ville's o-line, or their o-line coach.

Jazz, The coaching staff needs to get Warley's film 10th through 12th grade. That will tell the tape on this kid. Everyone is impressed with T-ville's O line coach. What's up with him?

Glad someone let it be known that the kid is no Tony Baker..the program needs ol ..fr usually will not start or help much... has a fr ol started since or before Q. Mitchell? so juco linemen should be the first at the top of your list...

There have been other freshmen who have started on the o line before or since Q Mitchell. But it is a difficult task.

I'm being told that the QB & WR at Gaffney HS are not being heavily recruited by the major schools---- both are D-1 material. Two schools in SC Coach Fobbs should have his foot in the door is Byrnes & Gaffney. They always have D-1 talent & they're only 60 miles from Charlotte!! Besides Byrnes has beaten Independence in a scrimmage game---- what a game it would be if these two powerhouses played during the regular season---- throw in Gaffney---- I'd drive to see these games!!!
