You and AGGIE77 are right!! The refs DECIDED the game, but we LOST the game down the stretch with some selfish play…guys wanting to score instead of running out the clock to salt away the game. “Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.” 😒

Any news on Felton? Why are we not getting more minutes out of Jason Murphy (5 minutes) or the other center?

It has the potential to be like this all year if:
1) We don't run quality offensive sets when the game is on the line
2) We take hero ball shots instead of quality shots
3) We falter at the free throw line when it matters

This team has the potential to give NUMEROUS GAMES away just like this one. Our team DNA has to change or you'll want a stiff drink after every single game. Losing games you have no business losing will frustrate the hell outta all of us.

NSS is spot on. I watched the entire game and yelled often because we seem to avoid running an offense. We look like kids on the playground. Glasper has incredible talent and shot-making ability. But c'mon man the degree of difficulty is crazy. Murphy has size but he looks like most of our bigs as of late that lack coordination and the ability to finish with any level of ferocity. This team can do damage in the league or be a disappointment. I feel like the latter is more likely to happen.

I think the last 5 minutes were good. Shell made sure to bleed clock every possession and we kept a two score lead. Forrest screwed up at the end and the refs finished us off

Forrest got a lot of touch fouls called on him I wonder if that had an effect on him when he got back in at the end of the game

Lot of ticky tack fouls calls all game too

Lesson, at the end of game give the ball to shell or call a timeout

Shell has gotta want the ball in his hands and have a concrete idea as to how he can set his teammates up for quality shots.
Right now, the season boils down to Coach Ross coaching the I out of the team. Too many I boys...we need more we boys. If Ross doesn't get this in check soon, this team will be a disaster, with the transfer pool opening wide up after the end of the season.

We need a good update on Felton's health. Our other centers are not ready to play heavy minutes.

I see our Greek freak as more of a forward versus a center so I am not counting him unless we go to the small ball lineup. Our small ball lineup for an entire game is too easy to defend with no real down low threat. We will be playing live by 3 or die by the 3 basketball.
