our d-line was small (relatively speaking) when we beat ecu, charlotte, kent state, elon (multiple times), and jacksonville state. are you suggesting none of those teams were as good or better than the caa teams we played last season? keep in mind, last season "multiple" meac teams beat multiple caa teams that we didn't beat. so if our small d-line was good enuf to beat ecu, charlotte, kent state, elon (multiple times), and jacksonville state all "on the road" (except elon was home-n-home), then i don't wanna hear no doggone "excuses" that we essentially couldn't do it "at all" against our entire schedule last season... Go compare our 2016-2019 d-lines to last year's d-line....size, experience and age. Not to mention that we had Tarik, Cartwright & Martin as running backs, 4 future NFL players (Cohen, Parker, Johnson & McCain) on those teams and our QBs (Quick, Raynard & Carter) were much more experienced AND better than ANY of the QBs we had last year. i'm primarily referring to our d-line "stopping the run", ain't got nothing to do with offense. and btw, we also shut down app state's rushing game when we beat them in 2013 (forgot about that one) and our d-line was relatively small, none of our starters weighed more than 275lbs which was typical of coach broadways d-lines. my point is that having a relatively small d-line (which was typical of coach broadway/coach wash's d-lines) did not stop coach broadway/coach wash's teams from beating superior talent. so having a relatively small d-line is not an "excuse" for giving up over 225yds per game last season. when we beat app state, our small d-line held them to "67yds" rushing for the game..,

The problem was we had an offense that could not stay on the field long enough give the defense a rest. You can't have one without the other. A&t's main problem last year was an impotent offense which affected and undersized defense. Yes Broadway had an undersized defense but Broadway had competent backups for his starters on defense so that they could get breathings. Broadway shouldn't even be in conversation because personally I think that even Broadway couldn't have worked a miracle with the talent that we had last year.

I love the optimism. But are these realistic predictions?

I love the optimism. But are these realistic predictions? If we had an ounce of a passing game…we likely beat that school in Durham… We had a couple of one possession games that ended in a drive ending fumble. Beating WSSU, Durham, SC State, and Hampton is very plausible. That being said…it’ll be nice if we get more than the Hampton win in the Conference.

The football and basketball rosters have been updated according to the classifications, didn't see any new faces with the exception of Cameron Maddox from Dartmouth. Basketball removed players that are no longer on the team but still no new faces.

We probably won't see the major updates until the team reports for camp in about 2-2.5 weeks.
