Phooey! Our pitching didn't hold up & our bats went quiet in game 2! Time to regroup and take the rubber match tomorrow to win the series! If you saw today's games, you noticed our pitchers don't have much velocity. This could be a problem in our conference, as the top teams all have guys in their starting rotation who gas in the low-mid 90's, & whose change-ups are the same speed as our guys' fastballs. Coach Hall has secured commitments from some pitching help, but the challenge there is that they may get drafted in the June Draft & sign, just as Marc Church did a few years back. We will see ... You are right about the speed of our fastballs. But our staff has some really good off speed stuff and they use the edges of the plate very well. |

Aggies off to another fast start today in game 3 of the 3-game game series. They're up 6-0 going in the 4th inning. Hopefully, they can hold on to win the series and go 2-1 in conference play.

Whew, Aggies finally get out of the 4th inning! C of C scored 3 runs to close the gap to 6-3. A&T had to go to the bullpen to stop the bleeding. Let's get some runs back in the 5th!

Aggies survived the 5th inning unscathed as C of C just barely missed a 2-run homerun down the left field line. It was so close that it was challenged by the C of C coach. After review, the call stayed as being foul just before going over the left field wall.

Thanks to a few bad defensive plays by C of C and some active Aggie bats, A&T scored 6 runs in 6 to break the game open and now lead 12-3.

I just tuned in and it looks like we've opened a big can of whoop azz! Aggies 17 CofC 3 Yep, big day for the Aggies! Their bats were on fire with 19 or 20 hits, including several doubles! The pitching was good too, as they used 4 or 5 pitchers to hold the Cougars to only 4 or maybe 5 hits! Now, I'm heading over to support the Aggie bowling team as they for the 2-2 tiebreaker for the MEAC championship. |

Aggie Baseball is GETTING IT DONE! Went down to College of Charleston & took 2 of 3 from them! Not bad for a program picked to finish TENTH in the CAA!
It's cool. Continue with the disrespect. It's motivating!
The CoC announcers sneak dissed our pitchers all weekend about their lack of velocity. Sure, our guys may not be able to break glass, but what can you say when we put up 3 touchdowns today against your highly-touted flamethrowers?
Can I get an AGGIE PRIDE?!?!?
