Nia Frederick ( 2024 graduate) is the only Bullis athlete I know of to attend NCAT in recent years. Always thought she run under 57 in 400H.

just for those who don't know, bullis high school is a "private" school that's located in perhaps the most "affluent" jurisdiction in maryland which is "potomac, maryland". a lot of celebrities live there. so bullis school (offers k-12 grades) is where the "rich people" send their kids to school. check this out, their tuition at bullis high school is close to $60k per school year!
no, that's not a typo, $60k per school year. however, somehow there are a decent number of black athletes who attend school there. how can they afford it? well, often "superior" athletes receive "financial assistance" in the form of scholarships to attend bullis.
so as you may guess, bullis high school has the "absolute best" facilities. their high school looks like a "modern college campus" with better facilities than a lot of colleges.
some famous black athletes who attended bullis in addition to quincy wilson are monique currie (duke, wnba) and the late dwayne haskins (former nfl qb for the redskins)...

Does this private school have a sizable Black student enrollment? If it does, I suspect many of their students do consider HBCUs. Either way, I hope we do land the kid if he's not turning pro.

When I went to my niece's graduation there were a fair amount. Afterwards all I heard was Ivy League and Michigan. Those seem to be the places they push their kids to go.
Would be nice though, but with those options I'd go pro.

Either way, I hope we do land the kid if he's not turning pro. personally, i can't speak on their general enrollment. my only association with bullis is that i've referee'd several of their basketball games. i don't know if their general enrollment of black students is proportional to the number of their black athletes. but considering how much it costs to attend bullis, they have a decent number of black athletes...

I think most of the Black kids, including my niece, played a sport.
