>We're pretty much done...down by 14 with under 120 seconds left. This would be a HUGE loss for tournament seeding, too. What was Monmouth seeded as last year 7th I think . I'm not a big seeding fan . Just win your game/games and keep it moving . The CAA Conference is an up for grabs tournament. So seeding is basically of no consequence. The tournament will be about who wants it more and who is peaking at the right time. For some odd reason it seems that we have either peaked too early or not at all and are showing signs of regressing back to a lot of our bad habits from the start of the season..i.e unnecessary turnovers lazy passes and shooting. 21 turnovers this far into the season is not going to cut it

This was another poorly played game. The offense was sporadic and defense was in zone most of the game allowing for mostly uncontested 3's(they went 10 for 20).The Aggies also had 23 TO's which was converted into 20 points. On the other hand Drexel had 19 assist on 26 made FG's.Going forward maybe we should look to play more W to W when the opponent is shooting lights out.

As long as we beat Hofstra Saturday we'll get the #4 seed (if the CAA counts head-to-head) and the double-bye.
We could get 3, if CoC loses and we win.

Over the years we seem to fall apart at the end of the regular season going into the tournament. As I said earlier, they get better, and we get weaker.

I gotta call it like it appears......we look like we're flaming out. We can pontificate seeding all we want. If we're toast, the worst team in the league will clean our clock. I'm officially worried.

Drexel also caused Stony Brook to have 24 turnovers. They are just a solid team defensively.

The turnovers and missed "bunnies" were our downfall. I agree with MarchingBand in that we seem to be running out of gas. Senior Day is Saturday and we need to conclude the regular season on the plus side.

what i saw was that coach rob took his key starters out of the game (particularly dorsey) when we went up by 10 points. at that point in the game, it appeared that we were having our way against drexel. but as soon as coach rob took key starters outta the game, that's when drexel (quickly) chipped away at our 10 point lead and cut down to 2 or 3 points. then coach rob put his starters back in, but by then drexel had the "momentum" and we couldn't put the genie back into the bottle.
we "had" 'em down by 10 and we took our foot off of the gas pedal. i believe coach rob had good intentions by taking the starters out, i'm thinking he just wanted to give dorsey and a couple of other starters a breather so that they would be fresh in the 4th quarter. well, it "backfired". once drexel gained the momentum, they became "confident" and started raining 3's on us.
to me, the turning point to last night's game was when coach rob took his key starters out of the game when we had a 10 point lead. it did "appear" as if we were about to pull away from drexel, but instead our subs allowed drexel to cut our lead very "quickly" and we were never able to put the genie back into the bottle. i think had we kept our starters in the game, we could've put drexel away but of course, that didn't happen.
for the last couple of games, we've been "struggling badly" from the 3 point line. against drexel, we were 2 for 14 from the 3 and that's definitely not gonna cut it going into the tournament. credit drexel for playing excellent "defense", almost every shot we took (even layups) were challenged by drexel. bracone has been in a "slump" lately, she was "zero" out of 4 from the 3 point arc and a couple of her 3's she had a clean look. we need much better production from the 3 point arc.
oh well, no need to cry over spilled milk. let's just try to finish strong and go into the tourney with a little momentum, if possible...

Poor defense, no pure outside shooters as usual and bad coaching caused this loss.

Yeah, It "backfired". In hindsight Smith just needed to use Her weapons, (although I know that She was trying to make plays). To me, our weapons, Tucker Acox ect had some looks. In hindsight again, Acox should have had Her number called each play. ( Just telling Her to pass out the potential dbl team). She had it going. Overall they have been solid. Its hard for us to come back on a team without our 3 Ball dropping. The Gym was empty. I hope to make Senior Day, and the Tourney

Starters can't play the "whole" game. They must get rest. Sometimes the kids call themselves out. It's hard to see what's really happening from the tv/computer/phone.
The reality is that Drexel has a pretty good team. They had us down in their spot but went cold in the 2nd half (much based on our defense). The tables turned this time...we went cold in the 2nd half and they got hot.

I really like our Social Media pics. I also saw Dr. Simmons (of course with His Camera) at the game. I told Him that His work- over the years= has now become archives in my eyes. Amazing Body of work... It's GameDay. The last Day in the Gym. It went by fast. I like the high tables on the Concourse, and the Images in the lobby. A&T has changed...

There is no excuse for that loss. You folks can continue to delude yourselves into thinking our team is well coached. The caliber of play has diminished at the worse time in the season. Hopefully, the team can pull out of the "funk" that they seem to be stuck in, or they will be banished in the first round of the tournament. Drexel was not that good. That loss is on A&T's ineptness, adjustments and game preparation. The women beat Drexel earlier in the season.
