Something. Doesn’t make sense for him not making layups & putbacks directly under the basket! Same problem with him when we played W&M. He went D2 for a reason. Then, someone on our coaching staff evaluated him (& others on this roster) as a mid-major D1 player & signed him. Anyone know of any other D1 offers he & a few others held? I am a cynic because I remember a few years back, someone made some SERIOUS errors in evaluating talent & we had these two 7-footers on the roster. Some of us were foaming at the mouth at the prospect of a modern Twin Towers with these 2. One was an unrated,0-star dude out of a JuCo in Mississippi & the other was “a fundamentally sound player versed in the European style of basketball.” Here is the 7-footer’s bio from our website: ”Played one season with the Aggies … Provided the Aggies with a presence in the post on the defensive end … Spent one season at Georgia Highland College and one season at Southwest … Barely played high school basketball and was working at McDonald’s before signing on with the two different junior colleges.” Fast forward to today. One transferred to FAMU and played maybe 3 minutes total on the season before walking away from the game. The other has transferred to an NAIA program. The AD needs to do SOMETHING about this egregious issue. WHERE DO WE FIND THESE DUDES no other D1 program wants??? Perhaps a cross-checking process or something. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ |
