Tipped in-bound pass means that the game should be over! It was RIDICULOUS for them to take that long to figure it out. #Smh |

A win is a win. I guess coach has figured out that with such poor shooting our best chance is to milk the shot clock and crash the boards.The team shot 28.1% from the floor and 11.1% from 3pt. land.If they can cleanup their miss layups and put backs and reduce their turnovers they could be the team to beat in the CAA.

I went. W&M, chartered in 1693.
It looked like School was still out.
Clark got doubled and it was good to see us rebound.
I really think that we are right there.
It was a nice rotation of Players and only that “quick springing Trap”, gave us a little trouble.
We righted the ship nicely. Acox showed some nice things too.
We could now use a Sweep this weekend.
They showed the Stats on their jumbotron.

They showed the Stats on their jumbotron. All wins are good wins. Good seeing your sir, can't wait to get to the convocation center and cheer our women to victory. That trap gave us fits during the middle portion of the game, they only deployed it off made baskets and dead ball turnovers. Them shooting so poorly was our saving grace. It's weird, because for us to +21 in rebounding category, we shole left a lot and I mean a lot of boards out there. For the 3rd consecutive week I've noticed that we box out but don't aggressively pursue the rebound. Way too many times the ball bounced off the floor before someone secured it |

RE: 2023-24 Women's Basketball Season
Tough, tough loss Friday night 53-51. Biggest lead all night for either team was 5 and that was A&T near the very end. Both teams played stout defense; W&M had 3 different scoring droughts of at least 5 minutes each and went more than 8 minutes without scoring a field goal in the 4th quarter. The game-changing stat was rebounds; A&T 52-32 with many offensive boards after the Tribe played good D for 22 seconds. A&T also shot free throws well (20-23; the Tribe was 15-16); too bad the Aggies didn’t miss a few more.
Nylah Young has had two straight games scoring less than 10 points…need to get her untracked versus Elon. She was only 2-15 from the field and missed a lot of layups.

The rebounding margin was 52-32 Aggies! Someone mentioned that it looked like Coach slowed down those possessions. As we would work down the shot clock then go. It got us in trouble a few times, but we wore down W&M, and had some in foul trouble. My take is if we can really lock down and play like that when needed… we will be tough in the Tournament. Clark, Paris, Acox, Dorsey and Tucker were mixing it up inside. |
