Commitments from linemen will be slower to emerge and should begin to come out a few at a time over the holidays since most if not all are recent entry portal or juco kids are fresh into pool of available prospects. Most schools just finished classes.
Also be mindful with players jumping into the portal literally as we speak, there is a lot of shifting around on the recruiting boards going on today plus a lot of visits have got to be scheduled and made over the next two weeks.

The first post on this tread stated:
"For transfer athletes which includes grad students, underclassmen, and jucos, their signing period also begins in the morning but is substantially longer ending on January 13th, after which begins a dead period until the week before the traditional February 7th National Signing Day. They too will enroll for the spring semester and participate in spring ball as well."
I know that in the times we live in that patience is not something that most people value, but I will go ahead and say it...be patient.
The coaching staff knows what we need more than any of us. Let them do their work. We will have plenty of time to critic the recruits and the gaps we don't think got filled. Were some of you really thinking that we were about to fill all our needs with highly rated recruits over the next few days. We are entering the a major holiday and the kids that will sign early will make their decisions in the coming weeks. Relax and have a good holiday...let the coaches worry about filling our needs on the OL/DL.

This ain’t enough. Coach Brown said during his end-of-year press conference that we needed to get bigger on defense. Where are the defensive tackles that will help us stop the run? Maybe them big old linemen don't graduate early. Maybe it takes them a full senior year to be eligible to graduate. All I know is, you can bring in all these little cute "elite" guys in but if we don't get some big-nasties up front to block for them, our offense is going to be po-pitiful again next season! We need some hog-maulers!

If we had've kept either Carl (signed with Duke) or Sykes (no clue what's going on there), I'd feel a lot better.

At least we've done (so far) some addressing of our QB room (Experienced & new freshman), though I'd like one or 2 more.
Long way to go to get DTs/others - Remaining early period, National Signing Day, post spring games and right up to the start of fall camp (if not during camp and before the end of registration).

Time is of the essence. You guys can be patient all you want but this program was 1-10 last year and we need to close the talent gap between us and our CAA counterparts. I am not confident we closed that gap based on today’s signings.

I may be anxious but as many offers as we put out we should come away with a couple on each side of the ball.

I am not confident we closed that gap based on today’s signings. We are not going to close the gap between us and our CAA counterparts in one recruiting cycle. Did we upgrade at key positions is the measuring stick. We were a QB and a couple of fumbles away from having more wins. We upgraded at the QB position which is the most critical.

17 wide receivers on the roster last year, 1 left for D2 dreams. Granted it was hard for them to catch a cold but we go out following recruiting period and sign 3 wide receivers. You can tell who the recruiting coordinator is.

You can tell who the recruiting coordinator is. 17 WRs...most are probably walkons... lets be honest, our WR corp was not explosive. We need a major talent upgrade at that position. Outside of Jones and Caldwell what WRs can you name? Who knows if Warren even returns, furthermore he is a slot receiver. Its kind of silly to blame the lack of DT not signing on the recruiting coordinator. The recruiting coordinator cant force players to sign, you see we have a lot of offer out to Offensive and Defensive Linemen.

We need upgrades everywhere! - but we should have signed at least 3 DTs today. This is just like my wife sending me to the store to get a Key ingredient of Milk and a few other things and I come back home with everything but Milk!
