First time seeing our men play. Even though our record is piss po this team looks better than the out of control team last year.
We hit those free throws tonight and rebound better we would have won.

Same. Although we took the L, I thought I saw some promising things.

First time seeing our men play. Even though our record is piss po this team looks better than the out of control team last year. We hit those free throws tonight and rebound better we would have won. The team was almost unwatchable the first six games. Lol, it appeared they were doing nothing but jacking up three pointers with their eyes closed. I honestly didn't think we'd win a game this season. It appears things are slowly coming together now. 3pt defense is part of the reason. First six games our opponents were collectively hitting around 45% on three pointers. At one point vs. UNCG they were 12 of 15. In the month of December we've cut opponent 3pt percentage to 36% which is helping to keep us in games. If they continue to play smart they'll win two or three more

Having our big man helps. They did look better. I'm glad we won our first game..... .....we have to be very careful projecting forward. We had to come back and beat a winless SWAC team. We looked better in the past 2 games, but both were vs SWAC competition.
We're in the CAA.....I really don't know how much more my opinion has changed about this team. I do need to see the big dude a little bit more to see how well he assimilates into the overall team scheme.
Baby steps...

disappointed with the loss, but pleased with the "progress". as i would have expected, it now appears that the team is beginning to form some "chemistry". we're still not there yet, but we've made some positive "progress".
defensively, i thought we played well overall, though we did have a few breakdowns here or there. offensively, we need 2 more "seriously consistent" go to scorers. although shell did a good job of scoring against jsu, we can't expect a 5'8" point guard to be a "seriously consistent" go to scorer every night. glasper is a legit "scorer", though at times he takes bad shots.
murphy is definitely a defensive force, but he's not a very "reliable" scorer. he needs some help in the paint. if our "team offense" could catch up with our "team defense", we would be in pretty decent shape. we're a somewhat "talent deprived" team offensively, but i like the job that coach ross is doing in terms of team play. we just don't have enough offensive ammunition yet but an excellent recruiting class could solve that problem "immediately"...
