Thought it would be good if we could start listing candidates we like in a single thread. Probably should be on the main board but since I haven't seen any announcements about the position figured it would be good to start in private forum. Here are some of my favorites.
Matt Leone - OC/Quarterbacks- nccu
Brian Rock - Asst Head Coach / OC - Ferris State
Anthony Soto - Asst Head Coach / OC - Lenoir Rhyne
Luke Bengtson - OC/Quarterbacks - VA Union
Rick Bowie - OC/Quarterbacks- Valdosta St.
Lamar Manigo - Asst Head Coach/ OC / QB - VA State

The guy we should’ve gotten in the first place.
Rob Ambrose. Currently jobless, up to last year was head coach at Towson from 2009-2022. Took them to the national championship game in 2011. Was oc and qb coach at UCONN prior to Towson head job.

Leone would be my top target simply because he's already doing what we're seeking to accomplish....being competitive in the CAA. Including yesterdays playoff loss, nccu has gone 4-1 against CAA teams which includes a 2022 win over ranked New Hampshire. His avg in those contests has been 37ppg.
#2 FCS red zone offense #47 Total Offense
Most impressive accomplishment is turning a lightly regarded, zero star Davius Richard into one of the best quarterbacks in FCS. Bonus, we take him away from nccu.

My first wish is that Coach Brown actually makes an official announcement this week to let fans know that Coach Young is no longer here.

Given the current state of the program, I suspect any oc worth having is probably going to need a multi year contract.

I doubt we hire anyone from a HBCU. It just seems that we have discounted anything from a HBCU.

Definitely think we should cross anything from Colgate off our list moving forward.

We should get some Division 3 coaches. They are fundamentally sound. Maybe a QB coach.

My nephew played for Babers last year. Good guy but he was making $3.2 mil at Syracuse. Unless he and Brown are close friends he ain't likely looking to drop down to a $150k salary.

62 years old and has only coached QBs a total of 5 years in a nearly 40 year career. I want someone younger, hungrier and has more hands-on experience developing young quarterbacks.

i leave all offseason moves to coach brown. my judgements are "end results", run your offseason however you see fit as long as your "end results" are satisfactory...

Nope, his decision to hire Chris Young tells me he needs all the advice he can get. It takes a village to hire a decent offensive coordinator.
