I wonder if he entered the transfer portal on his on accord or if the UD coaching staff told him his scholarship would not be renewed. I’m pretty confident they told him he wasn’t gonna be playing & he also knew it too, with them going FBS after next year I'm pretty confident he saw our QB room!

Why such negativity? Why are you all making up stories about the kid ? Maybe he just wanted a change of scenery or better opportunity to play. SMH Sadly enough, that's just the conclusion most people come to nowadays...we have no idea why this kid, or any kid for that matter makes the "portal" decisions that they make. It's OK to size the kid up...but I hate when our fans run a kid down for picking NCAT. Damned if you do, and damned if you don't. The sky was falling when we lost several QBs...we add QBs and folk still not happy. We needed QBs, and he seem like a good one lets see what he's got.

When has that happened? I think some of yall have an unnatural sensitivity to any comment that doesn't appear to present everything about A&T with glowing praise. Saying a transfer QB who didn't play a down in 2 years probably realized he wasn't a longterm option for his previous program is not being negative towards that player.

I try not to communicate with recruits who are not yet on our roster. That used to be an NCAA no-no, but the rules may have changed in recent years.

I hope you are wrong about "most people" thinking that way, especially on this forum.

QBs didn’t play defense. They dropped 40 on us, in a winner take all game to go to the Celebration Bowl. After beating us the two previous years. All things considered, that was probably the lowest I’ve felt after a game. Hmmm... Maybe you don't realize/understand how not being able to pass effectively impacts your run game, your time of possession, keeping your defense off the field, keeping the other team's offense off the field, keeping the othe team's defense on the field, etc. Bruh… go back and watch that game. We got our azzes handed to us from start to finish. For the THIRD YEAR IN A ROW. Give them their props…

We got our azzes handed to us from start to finish. Stop being negative about A&T. I am emotionally fragile and I can't handle any comments about this university that are not 100 percent positive.

You aren't a university official so what's the issue doesn't have to be a university official. ncaa recruiting rules apply to "all" alums or supporters who donate to the athletic department (boosters) or promote the athletic program. it would be wise to consult with our ncaa compliance office if there's any questions regarding contacting a recruit...

I try not to communicate with recruits who are not yet on our roster. That used to be an NCAA no-no, but the rules may have changed in recent years. still is a "no-no". you're doing the right thing, do not communicate with prospective recruits. if you've ever donated as little as 1 penny to a&t athletics, then you're "indefinitely" considered a "booster" by the ncaa and the ncaa prohibits boosters from contacting prospective recruits via phone, mail, email, nor social media dm's...

Thought things changed with NIL. Thanks for the information

That's what I figured. Sometimes you have to err on the side of caution.
