Yeah I have no dog in this fight but the most frustrating thing was the fans that genuinely were speaking on the atmosphere shift because of the visiting team being different. The likes of Morgan, Delaware State, Bethune, Howard (in the final years of the conference), & Norfolk (I know the people who pull up to games strictly to see bands are gonna disagree with that one) added ZERO to the atmosphere post-2010. It mostly depends on us. The MEAC as a whole is not a conference where fans travel & create some type of electric CFB atmosphere present day. FAMU, A&T, SC State (sometimes) were the main schools of the last 10 years that really had a vibe going & provided that animosity. Things are a little different in Orangeburg now it seems though post-2020. Outside of Aggie-Eagle, A&T-State, & Florida Classic, how much visible fan involvement was there those last seasons? And really FAMU & A&T shouldered A LOT of the load This is the part no one wants to admit out loud. I been screaming for over a decade that I have no clue where the myth of playing the Del States, Morgan, BCCs, Howard and now even SCU is any better than playing a PWI as far as game day atmosphere goes. We just have another band sitting across from the BGMM half the time.

A lot of people give em the benefit of the doubt on “atmosphere” simply because they’re a HBCU, & not because they actual see them show up in real life. Once A&T left, seeing people’s comments made me realize that people relate everything they know about HBCU football fandom to their perception of the SWAC specifically. Visitors section is dry as a bone at Aggie/BB&T/Truist Stadium, and until it’s filled with blue & gold it’ll stay that way. As much as it makes my stomach hurt to admit, there is only 3 games within the last grip of years where I remember visitors pulling up & that was Central (really only if their fans think they’ll win), barely SCSU, & honestly the most rowdy I saw visitors act was Elon 2019 (shocked me something serious too). ScourIng through those FCS attendance avg. last year while having a debate with someone after Central HC comments showed me this ten fold. A bunch of SWAC through the top 10, then A&T right outside of it per usual, SCSU in the 20s range as the BEST in the conference, then a dip off for the rest of the conference. People generalize HBCU fandom, but for D1 & D2 the most showing up has come from the top of the SWAC, & a good part of the SIAC for D2 numbers. That is it. It’s like everybody gets the credit of fans that only literally shows up factually for a select group.

Those schools (Coppin, Delaware State, Howard, other MEAC members) need us to help them prop up their ticket sales in football and basketball far more than we need them. Even NCCU's ticket revenue goes up by at least a cool $500,000, per their documentation, the years they host us in football.

Yeah and as someone who grew up on Fayetteville Street in Durham, so basically on campus, also a very dry football atmosphere unless their fans believe they’ll be competitive that particular season. Fair Weather State University 😂

we should "never" depend on visiting fans to help fill our stadium. but on the road? at least here in the dmv, aggies turnout in "much bigger" numbers at hbcu's (i.e., howard, msu, nsu, hampton, etc.) than pwc's (towson, richmond, w&m) and that's a "fact"... Outside the playoff game When has A&T played at those schools? The 70s, 80s or 90s 🤣🤣🤣 The fact is this season was the first game ever versus Towson and second versus Richmond 🤣🤣🤣 It probably safe to assume we have never played W&M either. Fact is you have no idea what Aggie attendance will be 🤣🤣🤣 and you will never know because you will not attend the game 🤣🤣 i don’t normally respond to your quotes cuz you never make any “sense” the vast majority of the time and you don’t have “facts” to support your 100% pro-pwc rhetoric. first of all, i’ve attended games at “all” of the dmv hbcu’s that a&t has played including howard, csu, msu, hampton, umes, and norfolk state. so i know exactly what aggie attendance on the road at those schools look like. secondly, our wbb team played at towson and longword, our mbb team has played at w&m, towson, radford, and longwood, and our football team has played at richmond (which i attended). aggie representation in the stands at those games was only a “small fraction” compared to how many attend dmv hbcu’s. how do i know? cuz i saw those games “on streaming video”, though i attended the richmond game “in person”. thirdly, i only mentioned towson, richmond, w&m as examples of pwc schools located in the dmv. nonetheless, it is not true that a&t hasn’t played at w&m as “you allege”. our mbb team played there last season and beat w&m. now that i’ve cleared that up, PLEASE DON’T QUOTE ME ABOUT “ANYTHING” ANYMORE. i purposely “ignore” your posts and will continue to do so henceforth. so don’t waste your time…

Always making things up about games you never attended or never happened🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for trying 🤣🤣🤣 I will continue to quote you so get accustomed to it, have a great night...quote you later😀😀

While we're at it, can we get that Georgia game OFF OF THE SCHEDULE? It's pointless, we shouldn't play that game, we are NOT in that dimension, and my fear is that a lot of our kids will get hurt! Those boys have access to state of the world EVERYTHING, and even their 3's and 4's are 5-star. NOT A GOOD GAME FOR US TO PLAY!!! We may need that payday to buyout Brown's contract.

Meant to do this when this thread was first created; but I want to add the all-time record against 2024 opponents (filling it in as opponents get ankounced):
Wake 0-1, Wake. Last meeting: 2004
Winston-Salem State: 34-12, NCAT. Last Meeting: 2010.
NCCU: 53-37-5, NCAT. Last Meeting: 2024
