Lol this comparison is apples to fish. NCAT vs WSSU doesn't need promotion. It's going to sell out. The question is how fast NCAT vs Wake is on a Thursday night on a holiday weekend. Wake has to do any and everything possible to get fans there. I respectfully disagree with you on this one. Every A&T game needs to be marketed, even potential sellouts. Create a buzz around all our gameday experience and we'll get more people to show up at other games. Hey, we won 1 game last season, we play in a PWI conference, the home gameday experience against conference teams are snoozers and our fans only get excited about GHOE and HBCU games. We desparately need to rejuvenate our fan base. We need to promote, promote and then promote some more! Outside of rivalry games our attendance is fairly consistent. Doesn't seem to matter whether it's hbcu or pwi. Imo, the variable that affects attendance more than anything else is winning.

We didn't report attendance for 2 games and we still finished 29th out of 128 schools. Any reason for not reporting attendance? Once again, am I the only person here who finds that strange?

One game they couldn't scan my pass at the gate. It wasn't a problem the rest of the season, but that may have been an issue early in the season.

So we just went the entire season with two unreported games? We never corrected that with the NCAA?

Coca-Cola is known worldwide and they still advertise and promote their products...and so does every other consumer products. But advertising and promotions will have no impact on an HBCU football game. If you just open the gates and say "We're here, come see us." you better have a winning record and great weather. And even then you'll draw the usual A&T supporter. But if you'd like to put more butts in the stadium, you'll need to do much more promotions.

ESPN is only showing 2 of our 5 home games with attendance numbers...Villanova (8,098) & Towson (21,500).

We have gotten away from and forgotten how to promote our games, IMHO.
It seems that we think that we can simply post a bunch of stuff on Facebook, IG and Twitter/X (for free) and then open the gates on gameday and yell, "Y'all come!!" and folks will come rushing in.
It's not working that way.
We still need to use radio and TV advertising to promote our games...and it needs to begin in mid-to-late July.
Now, more than ever before, we've got to quit worrying about how many fans the other team will bring to our stadium. We've got to max-out on Aggie Fans coming to Truist Stadium/Corbett Sports Center to see the Aggies play for every home game and hope that we don't have many tickets to sale the opposing teams' fans.

From my perspective, social media advertising is just as important if not more important than legacy media advertising.

Random chatter between Aggies about pending games is not a valid social media campaign. We need an organize, consistent social media campaign run by the University's media team.
