You must have a good QB in this conference Agreed and I also think you must have excellent offensive and defensive lines to be successful...

2 questions
The offensive scheme at the end of the game. Why didn’t we work that all game?
If you go back and watch this game or maybe you seen it live. I noticed that we kept 6 in the box on defense against their 7/8 on offense all game. No adjustments was made to stop the run.

They were the most balanced team we played all year with the best Quarterback we've seen all year. Unfortunately, these guys were dialed in unlike the previous week. With this, we needed to control the LOS in a base defense. We ain't there yet.

Man that secondary …. This Villanova team doesn’t look that good , but they are doing everything right . They how the best do it…nothing too complicated play to your strengths, exploit your opponents weaknesses…and don’t beat yourself. We need some players and time. Bingo...we need some players! Period, end of discussion. I think our biggest needs are our linemen on both sides of the ball aren't big or strong enough to dominate their opponents, Our receivers can't get separation or catch

The timing of the routes & play calls is immaculate if you ask me. No pressure on the QB, ball almost out of his hand quickly with WRs having plenty of room to run around.... made of 2 minute defense look like swiss cheese Yep, just watching it on tv you can see the routes and the holes in the zone. Pitch and catch So it's not just me

Weight room and nutrition helps. If we want to sniff two wins next season we better hit the Transfer Portal hard! We got a lot of holes to fill and very little talent on this team today to fill them! You can't make chicken salad out of chicken siht!

e. Also coach pool needs to teach the receivers how to run their route. What's been happening for the last 7 montha? You can teach a receiver a route but it is the coaches responsibility to make them understand that you have to run ALL routes like you are the primary Receiver. You can't Half a$$ run down the field on your routes or only run hard when your the primary receiver. Hell Nova's receivers went hard the intire game. Our DB's didn't know if they were going deep or running short routs because all of there movements in their routes were constant on each play . Yes you need a good QB in this league but you also need good receivers and personal period. A QB is only as good as the receivers catching the ball . We know we have a good QB, RB's to a degree TE's, now we have to find the right Receivers . And we also need to stop throwing into two deep coverages when you have Backs and TE wide open standing at the 5,10 to 15 yard markers (pitch and catch ) . But I must say that we did look better on the O side of the ball . White just has to learn to check the ball down because there were open receivers , that's all that Nova qb did and Richards at Central did today against Elon . We are showing progress but we have to keep White Healthy and get this passing game on track . Hell I'm cool with the TE or RB being our top receivers if it keeps us moving the ball and gets it out of Whites hands quicker.

Nick Dobson had some good catches today. That's something we can build on.

TE for some reason has become a lost art at most HBCU's. They are more the just blockers . Thank God that there starting TE was out with and injury dude was a deep ball TE 😆 . I would like to see Young use the TE a lot more going forward .

This game had a Lee Fobbian type of feel to it.
By the end of the 2nd quarter, everybody in the stadium realized we were just overmatched in every aspect of football and we all just became resigned to our fate.

There was a huge talent and experience gap. It's difficult to compete with True and Redshirt Freshmen against a team with 20 Graduate Students on the roster.

We understand why Coach Washington stepped away. We understand why Coach Washington didn’t want to make the move to the CAA. We are not ready for this league. I just sit here and think about how many years will it take for us to be competitive in this league or will we hope that some of the top teams jump to the FBS. Listen, we can make all of the excuses we want to but we (school, players, and coaches) are not ready.

We need to make some changes and it needs to happen soon.
