GREENSBORO – The North Carolina A&T Aggies football team will open preseason training camp Monday, July 31, at 9:30 a.m., from the practice field behind the Bryan Fitness & Wellness Building near Truist Stadium. It will be the first preseason training camp for Aggies first-year head coach Vincent Brown after closing out his first spring practice session in March. The Aggies will also prepare for their first season in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Football Conference.
"I thought we were able to lay the foundation for how we want to play this season," said Brown about the spring. "We really focused on our fundamentals, our new terminology, our new language and our new techniques. Obviously, when we lost players to the (transfer) portal, we had some gaps that needed to be filled. Now that we have those transfer portal players here, we are excited about starting training camp to see how different we look from the spring."
Let's get it ,looking forward to the new era . I don't expect us to come in and dominate but I also don't think we will have the severe drop off that so many predict .
I agree and feel the same way. I want to see how the "personality" of the team has changed under new leadership. I also don't think we will see a huge drop off from last year. I'm an Aggie and I want to win every game...but It's just as important to me how we play when we win, and when it happens...how we play when we lose.
I'll never forget that sick feeling I had when we beat SCSU but the team looked horrible on the field.
I Cant wait to see Our Steel Jawed Coach "Undertaker Brown, take the field with the Dawgs from the East Side. Being All Business.
I stopped for gas in Mebane. ( I have a A&T plate on the front of my car). A Shaw U Grad ('69, He said), praised us for how we support our School. I diverted the praise by thanking Him for Mother Shaw providing us a home until we found a home in Greensboro. I thought to myself that We are just getting started on this new journey. Pundits, Other Leagues, Other HBCU AD's , and Potential Recruits will be watching. There is nothing like seeing a group of People with their stuff together, being themselves with their Own Vibe.
Now is The Time. I think that our Challenge is to pack the Stadium and keep it packed after that Team from Durham walks in the Gate.
I'm optimistic, Let's Go/Grow!
BTW a Rain shower just passed thru (over here in Durham, and I hear NCCU's Sound Marching practicing in the warm shower.) Football is Back!
