D.C. is the sweet spot for the CAA to draw fan interest with its expansion.

i won't be there even though its only a few minutes drive from my house. but its a "somewhat" new facility, home of the dc mystics wnba team. it only seats about 4,200 folks, so its rather small for a championship tournament but its nice nonetheless.
parking is an issue there, but you can take the metro there which is very convenient...

The AFF had a nice gathering at a soul food restaurant about two blocks from the Metro station.

The small venue thing won’t be bad imo, considering it’s pretty much no mid/low major D1 tournaments that pull high attendance #s throughout the entirety of the event. Especially since this conference is like a mid major ACC, in that the geographical footprint is like 15 hrs long, so plenty of people from the furthest schools to DC probably wouldn’t even be able to travel anyway. It’s a lot of mid/high majors that need to downsize venues for tourneys to me personally, because the sprinkled fans in the crowd looks is awful.
