I did not miss the MEAC nor BS this BB season!
I like the CAA for: 1. Competitiveness....from top to bottom 2. Making adjustments .... game to game and in game was amazing 3. Our weaknesses to become competitive ...enough said
These 3 things I can think of but sure there were more..
BTW, both men and women exceeded my expectations.

Agree with these points. Def don’t miss the BS. We are more competitive than I thought. I hope we experience a bump in higher quality recruiting. I always thought that cultural arguments about playing HBCUs were going to be a bigger factor with football rather than basketball, although there are some schools I miss seeing on the schedule. I appreciate the CAA’s social media presence. I also appreciate how Aggies are showing up to support our teams at away contests.

Despite the outcome of the men’s season, I enjoyed our first year of CAA play and agree with what’s been posted.
We were NOT in over our heads in this conference.
I will add that we learned that WE HAVE TO COME TO PLAY EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! Thinking it is one thing…but knowing it and applying it from the time that you leave the lockerroom before every opening tip is something all together different.
I’m looking forward to the new staff and the 2023-24 season.

Aggierattler, your post reminds me of some coaches motto or philosophy they constantly preach to their teams.
Always stay ready versus always working to get ready.
Our players and coaches at times were not properly prepared or ready for their opponents and did or could not make the correct adjustments.

The results of this season far exceeded our investment. We chose to stand pat with an unproven coaching staff after parting ways with Jones.
Things could have been a whole lot worse.

I don't think this is said enough...considering the stability of the coaching situation at Hampton Men's Basketball and their record compared to us... We exceeded expectations...

I may have said this before but having Aggie basketball Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week was a treat.

I may have said this before but having Aggie basketball Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week was a treat. I 100% agree. I remember going to see us play at Morgan a few years back, 2pm and 4pm start. I vividly walking back to the parking garage and overhearing and older gentlemen (MSU fans) talking with his wife, about what they were about to do, and he said "well we just killed our whole day being over here at Morgan, im ready to go home." It made me think, yeah even if you live in Baltimore, you probably get ready for game at 12 noon because you may want to eat prior to tip. So if you get to gym at 1:30 to get snacks and get to seats, men's never tips at 4, usually 4:30 or so. Now your at 6:30pm when men's game ends. Your not doing much (run errands, etc.) before a get ready timr of noon. Still doing these winter months is dark at end of men's game, your motivation is kind of gone when you walk out the gym. I guess this why many choose to only go to men's game, they don't want to invest and entire Saturday to basketball. So some might go see the women play cause it only takes up 2 hours of their time. Now of course for me this season has been awesome, cause I'm typically driving to all these games so getting back on road early is a huge help (Wilmington, Towson, Philadelphia, Williamsburg, Elon, all Greensboro games). Im thinking, years before it wasn't a big issue because we there was no TV/live stream/radio which warranted media timeouts, which is what pushes game times out to 2 hours. That's why I think this is a good change for us. And shoot it might actually work even in the MEAC, they could keep same schedule/travel partner system, just stagger games, men play on Thursday/Saturday and women play Friday/Sunday. More campus activity for students and less time in gym for fans in general. Can't wait to do it again next year.

Finishing 2-5 in February was disappointing.
