UNCW was the only team above us in the CAA standings that lost tonight, therefore we did not make any real gains in the standings. Still 6th.
This late in the season we can't afford to lose any more games no matter style of play. Just win good or ugly.🙏

Love Bettis played like never before. Don’t know where that’s been all season but the kid is a baller.

Powell, Johnson, and Filmore took 7 out the 57 team total shots. In the last 3 games, this has been the trend. The G/Fs take about 50 more shot attempts then the big mens combined. [/quote]
That’s because they can’t score. They were fed in the low post and miss from 2 ft from the basket.

Thanks. Do you know what he injured? They said lower body , no timeline for return He was in a boot. I think it was good experience for McDuffie, in his place.

How do you know they had trouble scoring if they had so few shot attempts? Powell was 2-3 in FG. He can't score because he missed 1 shot. Powell scored 1 less point than Kam who went 4-14. Filmore was 0-1 in FG. He can't score because he missed his only shot attempt. Johnson was 0-3 in FG. So if you miss 3 shots in a game you can't score. Kam and Watson (4-15 FG) missed more than 3 shots. Lastly, passing the ball to the low post players may draw enough attention from your opponents that it opens up less difficult shots for your main scorers/shooters. Team assists may go up as well.

Powell was MVP of the game. He did everything but score. We won but we still can't shoot or hit free-throws when the game is on the line.
Pleez find some shooters that can really shoot next year. If we had played a stronger team tonight we would have lost because we can't shoot.

Let's not forget that Watson went 10-10 from FT and grabbed 7 RB with his 20 piece in PT. His free-throws were big for a team that does not shoot them well. We needed several players major contribution to pull out the win.

The 66-61 down-to-the-wire victory saw the Aggies right the ship after losing their last two games by double digits to Monmouth (69-54) and UNC-Wilmington (87-63). With the win, their record improved to 7-6 in the CAA, good for sixth place in the 13-team league. They are a game behind Drexel (8-5) for fifth place and two games behind fourth-place UNC-Wilmington (9-4) with five games left on the regular season schedule. hbcugameday.com/2023/02/08/nc-at-men-making-push-in-caa-stretch-drive/

Coach bringing Powell off the bench is a failed experiment, he needs to start!!!!
If we lose Powell it will be because coach has him on the bench when he is a better player than those starting.
