I went. Good Win A&T. A few things: Their Scoreboard offered updates on Player/Team Stats. Even the Video area offered Stats updates from time to time, along with Advertisers around the border for the presentation. Some Seats had advertiser's branding on them. The Basketball Teams had Calenders/ Magnets ect to Give away. I think that I saw that UNC-Wilm was a Jr College in 1961, from a trophy in their display.. ( New stuff everywhere). Taylor is getting better. I think that we took the gas out of Wilm, after the up-and down running blast that we did. Easy Shots got harder for them. A&T is trying make some History. (oh.I went to the Elon game...I still cant get my head around that They are our Rival now...smh) Them running out of gas was in part due to us going full court forcing their dynamic PG to expend a lot of energy just to get the ball into the front court. She is a player but fatigue became a factor on some late shot attempts and she deferred in bringing ball up floor also. X-factor going forward will be availability of Acox. Her presence on both ends of floor has been missed over these past 2 games as she can defend just about all positions on floor (mainly good in those pick and roll scenarios with opponents guards), and can score as well as facilitate offense from high (especially in high-low with Jaz and Clark. Another sneaky player on this roster is Willis, she's finding her footing on offense (really effective off the bounce) and is getting after it on the defensive end (making those dribble hand offs tough by getting a hand on the ball). Remainder of season is going to be interesting, looks like I may get to go to Philly for title game, hope we can secure it prior to but will be awesome atmosphere.

Acox’s mom said she had the flu and that she should be good to go by Thursday.

It is rarely used. Apparently, it requires hiring more people at the scorer's table.

Man beating UNCW in anything warms my heart. I'm a Wilmington native and I can tell you for a fact that when it comes to sports they are a non factor in the region. They tend to have great programs, and even when they win championships or go to the NCAA's folks in the area don't really care and support them like they should. It's all ACC all the time, and they are an after thought. It doesn't help that they don't have a football program and play in the CAA where traditionally local folk aren't familiar with the schools they play in conference. "Wilmington College" has been around a while, but things really took off for them once the UNC system got started...so most campus structures are on the new end. Hell, we got buildings at A&T older than UNCW. I had my high school graduation in their gym (before renovations) and spent a couple summer sessions there while I was in school. True story...during the summer sessions the math and science classed were filled with NC State and A&T students. I took chemistry, physics, and some calculus during the summer at UNCW. It was much easier there and the because it was a UNC System school the credit transferred right back to NCA&T with no issues. The hardest class I had during the summer at UNCW was great British writers. LOL !!!
The school is about 20 mins from where I grew up, so when I visit my parents I usually end up on College road while riding around town. The school has grown into an impressive institution. Like Charlotte, there was some talk of ditching the 'UNC' and going to the 'University of Wilmington'...but I don't see that happening.

As a kid and teen would always visit the campus when in the city for the Turkey Bowl festivities .

(Perceptions) I got asked if the Team was protesting- they weren’t out for the Anthem- I truthfully said that I hadn’t heard of anything and that they are normally out with locked arms.
Funny, I hadn’t even noticed( the team being in) , but She had.
Frankly, I just wanted to smoke them-as payback for the Men.
We have nothing to prove, but sometimes it feels that way.

The officials went in for the anthem as well and was noticed by a few people around me. I think for us it had more to do with the UNCW countdown sheet. If you notice the anthem was at the 10:00 mark on clock where as I believe ours is typically after starting lineups have been announced. Guess we could just see where our team is typically doing with 10:00 remaining on pre game clock.

We have nothing to prove, but sometimes it feels that way. We will always have something to prove. Always. And I kind of like it that way.
