With offensive line coach Ron Mattes and receivers Coach Nate Poole being the only coaches retained for the 2023 season, a new offensive coordinator will join the staff in Chris Young, former OC at Colgate and currently the receivers coach for Elon. This would make the second top assistant coach that we have poached from a conference opponent. This guy has no off. coordinator experience along with a head coach who has no Head coach experience. I cant get excited not yet. What next I bet you the defensive coordinator will have no experience. |

It looks like Coach opened up some new recruiting lanes with Young. While Coaching at Colgate Young recruited Texas(Dallas), Utah and New Mexico.

It looks like Coach opened up some new recruiting lanes with Young. While Coaching at Colgate Young recruited Texas(Dallas), Utah and New Mexico. Follow Coach Young on Twitter: @cay42 Recruiting Areas: • Virginia (Virginia Beach Area / Northeast Virginia) and New York Chris Young begins his fourth season with the Elon football coaching staff in 2022 after joining the program on Jan. 29, 2019, as the wide receivers coach. Young made his way to Elon after serving as the offensive coordinator at Colgate the previous five seasons. In all, Young coached at Colgate for 16 seasons, previously serving as the team's wide receivers coach for the first 11 years of his tenure. |

Info was from Colgate era, web and was to only say he has experience and possible contacts in those areas, Im sure Coach Brown will decide where he recruits he also recruited NJ while at Colgate. |
