A&T track and field programs' talent is not depleted. Instead, the Aggies have enough talent returning, where both the men and the women are the likely favorites at the 2023 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) indoor track and field championships, Feb. 22-23 at Virginia Beach, Va.

man, coach johnson most definitely is saying the right things. and yes, absolutely our tracksters have something to prove this season and that's not necessarily a bad thing...

is tennessee in our region? man, it certainly would be interesting if our tracksters had to compete against coach ross' tennessee tracksters. heck, maybe we'll see coach ross' and his tennessee tracksters at a track meet before we even reach the regionals...

These were pretty good interviews. Coach Johnson still needs an experienced jumps coach who preferably is a strong recruiter. It would be nice for the coach to get a Director of Track Operations. Also, it would benefit the program to have a pole vault and multi/combined events coach. I believe Coach Johnson said his wife is a volunteer assistant helping with hurdles.

The Qualifiers for the NCAA championships have dropped and no one from A&T made it

The indoor list is very difficult to make. It’s only the top 16 in each event. We have to reload. We’ve been spoiled the last few years. LOL

Wow none. Holmes was beaten out by NC State guy at 7.69 (both had same times listed guess it when 3 decimal places). YES must reload.
Former Aggies or recruits and HBCU going to Championships
60M Harding Tn #6 20.47
T'Mars McCallum on the Tenn 4x4 list of 6
Brandon Hicklin LSU Long jump #8
Women
Housworth Tenn State triple jump #13 (only HBCU Athlete)
I watched the SEC Championships.
Hicklin scored in the 60M (6TH) but only finished 10th in LJ; Harding did not make SEC finals.
Rasheem Brown finished 2nd in 60mh.
Women Dubose-Epps Miss State finished 16th in 60m and 18th in 200m,
Ross-Mustari-Monroe seemed to be injured (only ran one race) during the indoor season

Qualification to the championships is based on descending-order list for the season andadhering to the qualifying regulations/criteria published on NCAA.org. For each individual event contested, thetop 16 declared student-athletes will be accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 12 declared relay teams will be accepted into the competition.
