Does anyone know how the tie breaker break downs go. Since people are not playing each other every year I can imagine some ties. What if the teams tied does not have a head to head.. It’s my personal belief they should have divisional winners play a championship game. But I do recognize that since the CAA gets multiple teams the urgency of a conference winner is different than it is for the Big South.
I will also say the CAA has some fan bases large enough to present a good 20-25k Championship game. Mergers go both ways .. I think it would be good to help our new friends understand the culture of an annual classic style game is an opportunity for a big media game and payouts. Not to mention a DC game is a destination that alumni can create parties easily

Fortunately…if there are co-champions here…the league is strong enough for everybody to go… Not sure how the rule sets go regarding Championship games regarding the autobid to the playoffs.

Personally, I don’t care about a conference title as much as the FCS championship. If anything, a CAA title means we’re going to be seeded and have at least one playoff game.

We have to start caring … the multi billion dollar football industry is 90% fueled by media/tv. That’s the reality. It would help us now that there is no celebration bowl and a packed conference schedule means less likely chance to do various classics. The PWI FCS as whole is not that great and creating these games. We all just saw the national title for FCS championship game was half of that of CB. FCS championship is a goal but that’s not any time soon. But we got great press on a low level Big South Championship game so I would take a CAA championship game and a first round playoff game at this point.

To me it’s about this schedule forcing us to build infrastructure in order to win. Being honest, I want to see FBS before I’m gone. Don’t ask me how but I’m quite sick of the North Carolina FBS schools.

Overall, the playoffs provide more eyes than a conference championship game. Celebration Bowl - 2.422M viewers 12/3 SWAC Championship game - 391K viewers Total - 2.8M viewers 12/10 Holy Cross vs SDSU - 1.52M viewers FCS Championship 1.07M Incarnate Word-North Dakota State - 1.050M viewers 12/9 Samford vs NDSU - 671K viewers W&M vs Montana State - 491K viewers 11/26 SE MO vs Montana - 258K viewers Total - 5.03M viewers

That’s the wrong metric. Two games: average viewership 1.4 million 6 games: average attendance approximately 850 thousand.

Or Championship to Championship 2.4 million to 1 million.

Or Championship to Championship 2.4 million to 1 million. You can’t compare the championship game going against the NFL. That’s like fighting mike Tyson in his prime There is a reason why the NBA doesn’t go head to head with the NFL. See 2018 numbers when on ABC and not competing with the NFL

Just heard we will be Homecoming Bait for Hampton on 10.28 I said this as soon as I saw the schedule. I may be in Hampton as my Sis-n-law will be celebrating her 20th Anniversary as a Pirate Grad.
