Do they have to provide a transcript of everything they discuss?
The main agenda item on Monday is scheduled to be held in a closed-door session, so I wonder if we will even get a chance to know what they are talking about.

Meeting notes for a current meeting are typically provided at the next set of meetings. Ex: the notes from the Nov meeting will be provided during the Feb. meet.
We also provide slide decks in advance.
One thing I don’t like is that until Covid, we never live-streamed the meetings. Schools like Southern typically air all meetings, except personnel matters. And like Southern, and other schools, personnel manners are discussed in closed session. So, any votes up or down on Coach Brown would never be public. That’s thanks to state labor laws.
With that being said, most personnel matters are typically rubber stamped by the board as they’re usually heavily vetted by the Chancellor and/or vice chancellors before hand, with some BOT members in on the interview process.

Great information. That is really insightful. Thanks.
Looks like there is only one agenda item scheduled for Monday, so that meeting should be pretty short.

Check out the Board of Trustees Page on ncat.edu
All of the previous board meeting minutes and presentations are available. Always good information there.
