Call Coach Washington....he is available now .... Lol Coach Washington in his 60s. Why would he go to a rebuild? Outside of that they have no on campus locker room or practice field.

I would still look to Washington aa a serious contender for this position....he should easily be a finalist! that is, "if" he still wants to coach. he may say "the hail with this" and retire like coach broadway did. i'm not sure he wants to move his family (or maybe he does, i dunno) at this stage of his career. but then again, a lot of folk choose to move and "retire" in the state of florida due to the weather and no state income tax. yet, by that same token, north carolina is also a very popular retirement state...

Goes to show you how bad the conferences are🤷🏾♂️ I don't think it's on the conference. That's on the school...now granted a conference doesn't have to take a school, but BCU has to ask itself if they can really afford to be Div 1 and play in the SWAC. They have to look at schools like PV, ASU, SU, and others and be honest about their ability to compete on the field, in the classroom, facilities, etc.

From what I was told the Methodist Church was giving them a fair amount of scratch. They also had a hell of an AD. Not sure Reggie Theus is cut out for the job. If we're comparing them to PV, ASU, and SU, we also have to compare them to MVSU and UAPB. From what I understand, the primary issue currently affecting BCU is the disconnect between the administration and the alumni. It's a chasm and it's due to some very bad financial decisions the administration made. Athletics-wise they're probably the right coach and AD away from a SWAC title. Wasn't very long ago FAMU simply could not beat them and our best teams would have a tough time with them.

If they did stop the funding to BCU . It was because of BCU's leadership/administration mishandling of the appropriated targeted funds .
