I think A&T will go 9-9 this year in conference play. I think the team will improve but the biggest reason is they play Monmouth, Elon, and Hampton twice and they are bottom dwellers this year. Look at there records. We should go 5-1 on them. The home court will get us the other 4 win against other teams.

I had hoped that they could play much better but now I can't see 9-9 . Hopefully I'm wrong but until they start playing and functioning as a team and not individually 9-9 is a pipe dream .

I guess I see 9-9 also. However, there's a lot of winnable games in this league, but our team, in my opinion, hasn't mastered the things that win games down the stretch (the last 3 to 5 minutes) namely, transition defense, and situational awareness (score, time & shot selection). I think our scouting report will make teams ready to defend the perimeter, and we will lose to teams with equal or better talent down the stretch. There may be the occasional night when we will just be on fire from the beyond the arc and blow somebody out, but that just means we will be jacking it up from everywhere, any time the next two games.

If we can commit to rebounding better, then we would do better. And I dont mean our Bigs (the ones that we have left). I'm good with the way that we have to play. If we can run just a bit more and drive to the basket initiating contact like Watson will get some teams in trouble. ( but dont forget the floaters as a shot).

A little perspective on styles of play as you enter conference play
Towson plays a Big East style of basketball with heavy rebounding and bruising defense. Their biggest unknown has been on offense which they improved last year and seem to have fallen back this year.
Hofstra is alway guard heavy and usually has a POY type offensive player on their team. Shoot a lot of threes and aren't great on defense. Mostly zone defense
UNCW focuses on defensive deflections and plays man to man almost always. Will apply token pressure on made baskets throughout the game but will pick up the pressure as the game wears on. Very deep bench this year and not unusual to see 10 different players. Almost never plays zone.
Charleston rebounds like crazy, especially on the offensive boards, and does a great job of kicking out to set three point shooters. Super high pace of game but is suceptible to guards that can drive to the basket. Switch between zone and man.
Drexel plays a Big East style of ball as well, looking to keep the score low and work the paint
Delaware trys to be a high scoring offense but usually doesn't have the players to make it happen. They can get hot and beat you, but generally not consistent enough to win the conference.
Elon has a new coach so no idea. Used to run a Princeton style offense and could light it up from three
William and Mary is hard to predict with so many new players and a new coach. They have some good post players and three point shooters, but aren't consistent enough to predict either.
Monmouth just looks really bad, Hampton looks bad and Stony Brook looks like they may turn it around as we hit conference play.
Based on what i've seen of A&T Towson, UNCW and Charleston are going to be a tough out. Hofstra and Delaware is where i'd look for an upset. William and Mary, Stony Brook and Drexel will be a push. Monmouth, Hampton and Elon should be wins.

If this team messes up my 9-9 prediction, there gonna be consequences & repercussions.

Wait A&T-roy that was my predication. Well we our all on the 9-9 kick. I still can't believe this team beat Hoftstra and lose to Monmouth twice. Does Watson have a chance for 2nd team all conference?

Your prediction inspired me, so I jumped on it too! Yeah, I think Watson has a good chance for 2nd team.
